I'm glad it seems Tiki's eye is getting better. Maybe that's part of the reason he was so grumpy yesterday? Sending you lots of feel better, eye healing, less grumpy vines and prayers.
While you're getting better Tiki, keep working that juice!!

So I probably just had a super low number again but failed to catch it. I've been treading lightly with Tiki the last two days after our torture chamber the other night plus he was really pissy last night acting like he didn't feel good at all. Today's he's been pretty normal. I just came up to bed and gave him his regular midnight snack and almost went to bed without testing him. Like a dummy I didn't test him before he ate. Then I decided to test him probably 20-ish or so mins after he ate. I noticed he ate the WHOLE bowl of food, inhaled it, GONZO. THEN I test him and find him at 56. WHOOOPS!!! I am such a BAD KITTY MOM. ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile

No you aren't! We all like to give them a break and then they surprise us. Conversely, if we do test them because we think they are going to drop, they pop up :-D

I'd give him a little more time and test again to see what the food did. It takes a good 30 mins to affect the BG.

You caught it... after all.

Tiki has shown he can ride the elevator several floors down so it's just a good reminder to check a little more often....
don't want to miss any reductions.....

THAT'S EXACTLY IT!!! He keeps taking the EXPRESS elevator straight to the basement so I keep thinking this dose feels too high, but I can only reduce him IF I catch him low. Why can't they have an internal tape recorder that tracks his numbers all day and when I poke him on the head it would display a day long written receipt of his numbers every hour on the hour??? Like a receipt from a cash register!!! Uuuugh...

I just want a full body analysis scanner like in star trek.
get bg numbers, blood pressure, and organ function...... all at once... any time....

Human diabetics can get a continuous BG monitor. Wish they had them for cats!

Someday! And we will probably all complain when it happens that it's too invasive and offends our sense of privacy. LOL

So true! Good thing my life is as dull as dirt! Tiki's trips into the greens are as exiting as it gets around here! :lol: :lol: :lol:
