These lovely bright colors have reminded me of what it was like when Buster was hungry all the time at first diagnosis. That cat can certainly be a pest when motivated! Gave him 1/2 tab Zyrtec last night and again this morning. I think his third eye is showing less, but it wasn't showing that much to begin with and I'm pretty good at making up "symptoms" that might not be there. He was last seen sleeping peacefully in my chair without a care in the world.

Hi guys ... I'm sorry, but your statement about making up symptoms that aren't really there cracked me up because I'm the SAME EXACT WAY! I'm always asking peter if he see's this or that and he tells me to stop making things up :lol: :lol: But us momma beanz can't help it can we? have a great day guys!

Numbers just aren't where they used to be and I think there might be something wrong. All p's in place - eating like a hog. High numbers and his lil third eyelids are the only clues. I'm thinking some bloodwork might be in order. Am I crazy or do I have a legitimate concern? Trying to upload a pic of his lil eyes...

I dunno why he looks so skinny and weird in this picture, but trying to get a shot of his eyes was not easy. He's a good-sized boy, just looks odd here.

It's hard when it seems like something is off, but we can't figure out what. I hope the Zyrtec is helping Buster feel better. A vet visit would at least put your mind at ease.

You know Bu better than anyone. I'd agree with Carla, at least a visit would put your mind at ease.
Whatcha about Buster? Lots of hugs and scritches and "no third eyelid" - "all healthy" vines to you.

I'm a firm believer in going with your gut when it's your kitty. It looks to me like Buster's numbers are trending up slightly. Along with your gut, BG is one of the best early warning systems there are. What can you lose (except some cash and Buster's worth it)?

Thanks for the support everyone. Got an appt for tomorrow - just seems like the right thing to do. Of course they wanted me to bring him in and leave him all day for a curve - riiiiiiiiight. Um, how bout no. Hope it's nothing major.

Ok, somewhat freaking out at this point! RED BUSTER?? WTH? It's like the insulin isn't even phasing him at all. Now I'm thinking pancreatitis? I'm not gonna get any sleep until his appt tomorrow, which happens to be late in the day because my vet has surgeries throughout the morning. Nothing I can do but wait. Poor Bu!
