I overslept this morning so no 5 P's report yet. Julia seems to have cleared her bounce though. Now I need to find out how to move up her shot time enough so that I can get to work tomorrow. It was 7:30 yesterday so I was going to 7:15ish today. Unfortunately, I didn't get it in until 7:55 since I overslept. Argh! I need to be able to do it by 7:10 the absolute latest tomorrow. As I previously mentioned, I have no problem staying awake to a late hour. It's getting up that is the problem since I didn't hear any of the 5 alarms I had set on my phone today.

Am I okay to shoot any earlier tonight? Or how much can I bump the time safely? I overslept this morning and shot at 7:55 but need to be before 7:05 so I can leave on time for work tomorrow. I'm not sure how to safely get to that time.

Looks like we're bouncing again but she cleared it pretty quickly overnight last night.

Given the bounce to the pinks, you could shoot up to an hour early. You will need to do some monitoring though, since the early shot acts like a dose increase.

Hello.
I've been away for a few days so I'm just now able to come visit.

You can make changes in shot time by 15 minutes each cycle or one change of 30 minutes ( earlier or later) per day.

•Because of the cumulative nature of Lantus and Levemir:
An early shot = a dose increase.
A late shot = a dose reduction.

I hope you will be able to get a mid day reading since you are seeing some greens. Since you need to move your time up, it will act like a dose increase.
I"ll go ask for some other eyes to weigh in.

I just love your avatar picture. :-D

My concern is she barely eats at in the evenings and night. If wonder if we adjust the time by 30 min tonight and then 30 min tomorrow night to get on schedule that might be better for her. If I went with 7:25 tonight and then the same tomorrow morning, could I fill a syringe at say 7:10, put it in the fridge and have Mom shoot it 15 min later? I know we're not supposed to pre-fill them. Then by tomorrow night I can go with the 6:55 shot which will be perfect. I know I make things complicated. ;-)

Thanks for the information Rhiannon! My Mom is home with her all day tomorrow and every day actually as she takes care of my Dad who can't walk, so if I tell her what times to test she can do it and then call me at work. I have to make the rounds to visit others as well. I'm recovering from surgery last week and had some complications (clearing up now) but my free time has been spent sleeping since I go back to work tomorrow. I hope to start making the rounds this week.

Given that it can take some folks 15 min. between filling the syringe and getting their cat tested and eating, I think the 15 min. pre-fill will be fine. Your plan should be fine!

Thanks for the help Sienne and Rhiannon! I try to rationalize it out in my head but I'd rather know for sure.
