7/2 Peepee pmps-302 squids effect of bg?

Good morning LL,
Peepee had a lot better amps today. Maybe AB is working on her UTI. She still isn't eating very well. I thought this AB was great because she didn't get am upset tummy last time, but maybe it is bothering her this time. She eats mostly the juice. I think her mouth might be a little sore.

Hi, took Peepee to the vet for cypro cause she still wasn't eating much. They gave her squids(200ml) and a shot of bupe and a dose of cypro. She has eaten small amounts several times since we have been home. I even let her eat at +11. I just wanted to get food in her. She thought she might still be having a reaction to the vaccination? That's why the bupe for where the shot was. Now she is acting weird. Like drunk.
Question: What effect does squids have on BG. Up or down?

Squids could make the BG lower but I think the drunk behavior is very odd. Her BG is still high right?

Bupe is a narcotic. Some cats act drunk or goofy or high.

Hci Wendy, yes, her bg is still high. It was taken 45min. ago. Maybe not drunk, but weird. Having trouble jumping up on couch. Her squids are hanging around her elbow and I think that is stopping her. She's has been barking at me(unusual).She walked right up to her brother and started pounding on him(unusual).
She has a lot of vet stress, but geez! Maybe I missed another low today. I will check her a lot tonight.

It sounds to me like the bupe dose is too high. It has a wide dosing range. For instance, Gus is now 8.9 lbs but he can have .1-.25ml every 8 hours. I only give him .1ml every 12 hours.

Yes...squids can drop the BG but it's ECId.

I hope she feels better soon.
