Morning I've been having difficulty getting on the Board since Tuesday afternoon ,anyone else? I've missed all of you.
My LLMB format has completely changed and letters are on top of each other, and everything is vertical. I'm also getting E-mail notifications to condos that I haven't subscribed. My "New Topic" is on the very bottom of the screen.
I can see a link to pm Rebecca, Webmaster, but not Robert, so I haven't contacted him and hate to bother on a holiday, Is anyone else experiencing the same. Were there some changes to the software/Server, or did the Poo Fairy hack my puter? @-)

ETA - LLMB is all fixed, thanks Deb & Wink. Just changing from ProSilver2 to Silver in the Control Panel solved the problem.

Oh well, we'll see what evolves. Mags is doing okay, but she was not herself Tuesday afternoon thru Wednesday mornning. She just started a binder, not the one everyone else here uses, and I think it upset her tummy. I E-mailed one of the Vets (my Vet was off yesterday) and described her symptoms, and he said to stop it and give her a break until Monday. also talked to the Pharmacist re the symptoms. I hope this goes thru. Sorry if there are typos. Happy 4th of July.

Well, Mags hasn't forgotten how to do one of her quick dips in the Green Lagoon.
Her numbers are really good, and she's using less insulin. My Vial will be six months old July 10. Her renal values last b/w really increased, but her diabetes is more regulated. I'm trying not to analyze it too much, the numbers. Hope I'm making sense.
Waiting ob Elsa Lil Bit. ~O)

Your puter problems sound kinda annoying. Grrrrrr. Hope that can get fixed soon.

I've been thinking about you and Maggie. Yuck on the binder giving Maggie tummy issues. Hope it is short lived and she can adjust to the new med.

Hugs to you both
Tena

Re: 7/4 Maggie AMPS 110; +3 84

Hi Tena, thanks for thinking of us. Mags had a terrible time with the last enema.
Grrrr...is right on my format. I'm getting E-mail notifications every time someone posts which is strange, as I've not subscribed.

Re: 7/4 Maggie AMPS 110; +3 84

My LLMB format has completely changed and letters are on top of each other, and everything is vertical.
Other people have reported this same issue. What has helped them some, is to go to the control panel and change from prosilver special edition /prosilver2 to prosilver. Hasn't resolved all the problems but it has helped some.

A link to the Tech forum thread where others have been posting.http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewforum.php?f=9

Also, plenty of sql errors, with no access to get back to the board. Tuesday was the worst.

Re: 7/4 Maggie AMPS 110; +3 84

HI Ann....I'm so happy to see you here, even if it's tempoary :-D I just got here, so don't know who else is having problems.

Poor l'il Mags....I'm sorry Her Sweetness is having tummy issues. Hope she continues to have good numbers today, altho she doesn't seem to like being in the cool green waters, too long.

Ann, try to have some fun away from the frustrating board.

Re: 7/4 Maggie AMPS 110; +3 84

Thanks Deb so much, I'll try that with the ProSilver and also thanks for the link to the Tech Forum.

Hi Barb, thanks, I had a time getting her to eat, so I opened three cans at a time and set three plates on the bed for Mags to choose. This morning she is loving "Avoderm"!!
Yes, think I'll go out in a bit as soon as I do another poke. Mags is very vocal, so that's back to normal, too.

Re: 7/4 Maggie AMPS 110; +3 84

Thanks again Deb, I just changed from Prosilver2 to ProSilver, and yay, it looks normal and no letteing on top of each other and condos are all horizontally listed vs. vertical. :-D :-D

Re: 7/4 Maggie AMPS 110; +3 84; +5 139

Hi Ann....so glad to see you here! I was worried all day yesterday, but last evening Barb did let me know she had heard from you.

I'm sorry the new binder seemed to bother sweet Maggie's belly...poor little girl has had a tough go lately. Have you talked to Marje at all about Maggie's renal values? She knows the CKD stuff so well, maybe she has some insight. Could there be a connection between her poo meds and the renal values? Would psyllium husk do anything to help with the poo issues? Just tossing random ideas out there....I was just wondering if there was another approach to treating the megacolon.

I'm glad she's feeling more vocal and more like herself today. And I'm glad your issues with the board are cleared up! I was having very minor issues for a few days...nothing like what you were experience, but for some reason, I wasn't getting ANY notifications at all for condos that I was following. That cleared itself up yesterday...weird stuff all around.

Have a great day, Ann!

Re: 7/4 Maggie AMPS 110; +3 84; +5 139

Hi Amy, thanks so much for your concern. It seems all straightened out now. Whew!! Yes, have discussed the renal values with Marje. One thing I'm doing is increasing the fluids. On the psyllium husk, Ann & Tess and Melissa recommended it, but I wonder with her motility problems if the colon muscles would need to work harder as her colon muscles don't contract normally, and she needs help. She takes the Cisapride for it. Her renal values did start rising when she had the diagnosis of Megacolon. She's eating normally today. She's liking the Avoderm and now the Wellness is a "meh" your words.

Hi Ann,
I am sorry Maggie is having a tummy problem
I hope she'll feel better.
Sending lots of healing vines.....

Re: 7/4 Maggie AMPS 110; +3 84; +5 139

Glad to see you back online. There were a lot fewer posts yesterday and it must have been from the board problems.

Maggie's numbers are looking good, I she feels better now. What was the phos binder you tried out?

The psyllium seems to work for both diarrhea and hard stools. I would think that too hard stools would make her motility worse. did you ask your vet about it? Or is it too old school a remedy? I avoided it until I spent some time researching.

Re: 7/4 Maggie AMPS 110; +3 84; +5 139

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O)

So glad to see you back online. I've had a few issues too, just accessing things, but not quite as severe as you describe. I'm glad all is better for you. I had wondered....

I didn't now you had added a binder to Maggie's meds. I find Ann's comment on its effect on the poo stuff, and motility interesting. I hope it isn't affecting Maggie. I'm sorry that it upset her tummy. We never got as far as adding binders for Mannie, other issues overshadowed it. so can't help there at all. It does get difficult to treat more than one thing with more than one med. ECID, one can never truly know what is going on inside. Sure would like that crystal ball. I missed the increased renal values too. I will hope that the additional fluids will help with that.

Nice that she likes the avoderm. Mannie liked it too: there was a chicken one he devoured, and it was LC too. It was a nice addition to the fuds arsenal.

It looks like a good start for Maggie today. I like the green! +5 is up, hope she can stay there.

Have a great 4th today. I hope things aren't too crazy in your neck of the woods.

Re: 7/4 Maggie AMPS 110; +3 84; +5 139

  Sorry for the confusion, the psyllium isn't a phos binder, but for the poo problems. I put a paragraph return in.

Re: 7/4 Maggie AMPS 110; +3 84; +5 139

Glad to see pretty numbers from Miss Maggie, but sorry to hear that she hasn't been feeling herself. Sending healing vines for Maggie. Hope you guys have a wonderful 4th of July!

Re: 7/4 Maggie AMPS 110; +3 84; +5 139

Thanks for all the visits, Rhiannon (love the holoday emoticon), Mariko, Ann & Tess, Michelle and Deborah. I went out for about an hour. It's very pleasant here, 70's and nice. Ann, the name of the binder is RenaGel. There is some info on Tanya's site about it. It has quite a few side effects, one being the constipation. No, I didn't get a chance to ask the Vet about the psyllium. Mags had such a hard time this last enema that it took a few days for her to bounce back, and then the RenaGel upset her system. There have been some changes in Staffing, and my Vet is gone more lately. Actually, now her poo has been more on the very soft side. I wanted to research it more on the Megacolon forum and see if anyone there was using it. Michelle, yes, we tried the Epakitin binder in her early stages renal disease (old school though). It was a powder sprinkled on her food, and eventually she wouldn't eat the food with the Epakitin. It also constipated her. Yes, it is tough with overlapping illlnesses, as we need to be careful one med doesn't cause another problem with another of her chronic conditions. Today Mags is feeeling really good. The Avoderm is with the chicken, and I'll pick up more tomorrow. Thanks for all the healing the prezziee vines. She did have a little poo yesterday, not the full amount needed, bit it's enough. Her appy is good today and the vocal is back when she want something, loud and clear :-D
Sorry for so long. I never learned how to condense and sum things up.

Re: 7/4 Maggie AMPS 110; +3 84; +5 139

Hi An. Maggie made a nice drop to the Lagoon but I guess there wasn't enough going on there today. Hope she gets to feeling better.

All is well here Ann. Just late getting things going. Thanks for asking.

Have a great day Ann.

Re: 7/4 Maggie AMPS 110; +3 84; +5 139; PMPS 155

I'm sorry the binder was causing Maggie problems, but I'm glad she's feeling better today. I'm glad you were just having computer problems. I was worried when I didn't see a Maggie condo.

Re: 7/4 Maggie AMPS 110; +3 84; +5 139; PMPS 155

Thanks Ann....got your PM and I went to the control Panel and changed it to prosilver...it worked!
Now it looks as it used to look and I feel so much better....many thanks...
Hope you and Maggie have a good night and that her poo issues clear up...hugs to you both!!! :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Detective Poo, checking in after being gone for a few days. I feel so out of touch! I'm glad Mags is feeling better and you got back to LantusLand, Ann. That stuff sounds so annoying! Happy 4th! Raining a bit here today. :-D

Another double dipper. Mags is almost predictable lately!

Thanks John for the visit. I guess Mags just likes to check out the Green lagoon and then has other things on her mind. She does a return feature though!

Hi Carla, thanks so much for your concern. I think there may still be some missing from the Board.

Hi Liz, so glad you had a nice time and met up with Wendy and Neko. It is always meeting someone in person. Thanks Detective Poo, we are trying to get Mags back on track.

Yay Pat, so glad you got back on the board. Thanks on the poo issues.

Kathie, thanks so much for your visit and the good wishes and vines for Mags. Yes, vocal is good from Mags. Happy 4th to you, too.
