I'm think I'm trying to keep to foods that are mostly animal protein and limited veggies/fruit, just in case that is what causes her stomach issues. To be honest, she's been cleaning up Dee's plate lately and so far hasn't had any issues. :lol: :? I'm hopeful that means she can transition off the Honest Kitchen food. I do have Dee eating mainly food that is 10% carb or less, but I'm going to tighten that up to around/under 5%.
I've spent hours on Dr. Lisa's page trying to figure out food that is not horrifyingly expensive, moderately high in protein and moderate in fat, and not super high phosphorus (just in case). As she notes, it's hard to find that!
So far I have some Ziwipeak Venison on hand (which is too pricey for everyday), Weruva Fowl Ball, and BFF Tuna and Pumpkin (which I just feed 1 or maybe 2 meals a week for variety). I'm going to pick up some Wellness Core Turkey & Duck and Beef, Venison, & Lamb. I think I might try the Weruva Chicken Frick'a'Zee too.
I'd like to go with Primal raw food but there really aren't any stores that are easy for me to get to and since I'm not home during the day I can't really have it shipped (at least not in the summer!) so for now I'm going back to the canned food.
