i am 16 years old and have just found out that the cat i have had since i was 5 has diabetes. we had noticed that he started uninating on my brothers bed, and that wasnt like him. we had also noticed that he was peeing in his litter box as well. after about a week the incindent had only happened once, so we thought that it might have been an accident. but then he did it again. my mom took him outside and he went and it seemed like forever before he was done. my mom, being a nurse new something was wrong.

the next day we took him to the vet. all of his levels were tested and the doctor said that he had an infection, but also his sugar levels were high. this worried him so he did more testing, after that he called us and told us that it was indeed diabetes. we have an appointment in a few days to go learn how to inject the meds.
