Hello all - so this is weird, Rocket has consistently high preshot numbers - except for this morning. Should I give him his full dose (currently 5.5) or reduce a bit? He's due for his shot in 10 minutes or so. (just a note, we're planning on switching to Levemir to see if that helps him a bit more - since he has acromegaly, he's extremely hard to control.)

I don't usually monitor Prozinc subforum. For dosing advice, you might want to tag a senior member (me, or someone else). If you look through Leo's spreadsheets you will see he was bouncy nearly all the time. I can't say enough bad stuff about Acro...and what it does to our poor Acro-kittehs.

I know. :( And thanks - the Levemir we ordered should be here Tuesday, so I’ll be posting in the Levemir forum sometime this weekend, as I’ll need dosing advice, advice on switching, and a couple more questions since in two weeks I’ll be in the hospital for a couple days. Ugh.

The levemir should help a little. I still find the levemir forum crowded. I recommended a change to have 1 permanent thread for each cat - to reduce the clutter. I think the daily condos lose the cat history and create more confusion.

Good luck at the hospital. I haven't been in one for myself in decades.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks. This'll be my first overnight stay. Is it normal that I'm more concerned with my cat than myself? :D

It is indeed normal. My whole world revolved around Leo for the last 4 years. There are many others on the forum who are just like us.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

You’re in good company around here!

I think you’ll like levemir. Do post on the L&L forum and get some advice about the switch.

Thanks! Will do. Probably tomorrow, so I can take some time to get my thoughts/questions together. :)

Good luck with surgery. I am allergic to hospitals and scalpels. The good thing - modern medicine and doctors are highly trained and they have the best equipment.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

I’m thinking tomorrow morning; just to be safe. I want to keep an eye on him the first time. :)
