So so glad to see another green!!! :D

I know it’s too early to say for sure but I only have two weeks to decide on a vacation dose for Alice and I’d rather the CG not have to measure one of those weird quarter doses between the lines, but I think 1u would be way too low, and yet 1.5u might be tricky if my planned CG doesn’t do the right amount of testing and feeding.

What kind of feeding schedules does everyone use? The sitter will be here full time while I am gone, but will sleep or go out sometimes. Alice is very very used to many regular meals, but I don’t expect anyone but me to sacrifice sleep this much for them.

    Hope all are well today!

I'd write down all of Alice's 'regular' meal times and ask the CG to do the best she can. Alice is counting on those meals.

As for the dose size, do you use calipers? Can you mark the syringes with a Sharpie to show the CG where to draw the insulin to? Forget about the lines on the syringe - just mark it where you want them to draw the insulin to...

    Alice looks great in green!!:D:D

I agree with Sue about the meals and marking the needles for dosing if you don't have calipers. I found the lines on most needles are consistently inconsistent anyway, the important thing is the dose being the same at all times. :) Have a great evening Cassandra!

We can help you figure out a vacation dose when you get closer to the time you are going to leave. You can also leave a sample syringe filled with colored liquid for the petsitter to compare the dose to.

I love the idea of marking each syringe with a sharpie, and that sounds great! I do not have calipers though and I truly have no clue about them at all.

I’m gonna miss Alice so much I almost don’t wanna go. :arghh:

(And I’m pretty sure that means it probably IS time for a vacation!!! :p)
