Yes, indeed, actually I think we have talked a few times :), then things seem to improve somewhat, and Mav gets a little run of okay numbers. Relearning how he will be on Lev seems the most daunting, but at this point I can't see him doing any worse. I will probably have to adjust his shot times as well. Thank you for commenting on what test times were helpful for you.

I'm going on vacation for a week after Christmas, do you think if I have about three weeks on Lev I can get enough data before I leave to feel comfortable with new patterns for the pet sitter, or should I hold off the switch until I get back? She won't be testing, and of course I will have him on a reduced vacation dose.

Seems like I am looking at another failed reduction....if he doesn't do anything interesting tonight, we're going back up. The last few days combined have been the worst I have seen in a while, he's just not budging :(

Maybe putting up my Christmas tree will cheer me up :p

I hope you get a lower PMPS. I hope when you switch the Lev will help flatten Mav out.

Maverick does like to wear all the colors, doesn’t he. I hope the Lev will flatten him out!
Hope your tree cheers you up! Christmas decorating always makes me happy.

If you decide to go with Lev, you are likely to see improvements. The ones that did the switch were happy with it and I'm one of them!
Have a good afternoon putting up your Christmas tree ! :)

If you have three weeks after the switch, and have the ability to get a few extra tests in to see when his onset and nadir are, that should be enough to find a safe vacation dose. Will the pet sitter be able to test?

Thanks Wendy. No...no testing unfortunately. She will only be in twice a day to give insulin, get the food in the feeder and spend a bit of time with the kitties . I think as much as I'd like to get started, it is already stressful enough leaving him when I know his patterns. The more I've thought about it today, I can't see how I will enjoy my vacation, since she isn't testing, plus I have to work out a different feed schedule for Lev. I think I'll have to wait to make the switch until I get back. I've waited this long, I hope a few extra weeks won't make any difference.

Likely no. Good for you figuring out his current patterns. I found Lev so much more predictable, but not right away. Takes them a while to learn to use the new hormone/insulin.

Hi Christie! I think I’d wait also to switch when I get back from vaca.

Wouldn’t your pet sitter be interested in learning how to test? Mine was so then he could add taking care of diabetic animals to his resume. Ask! Maybe you’ll get lucky. :)

I'll give it another go, no harm in asking...she is a nurse, she knows how to test, but is a bit more in the no need to test so much camp, so I gotta work with what I got ;)

+3 =83, little stinker was reading his condo again.
