So... it's quite early in the morning so not sure how many eyes will see this post. I'm looking for advice but Ming is an interesting case so it's nothing urgent.

He's been steady at 49-50 all night. With HC and without HC.

For my own sanity, I'm thinking of shooting 2.5 units today. I'm on night shifts right now and it's bed time for me soon.

I'm also thinking about reducing "early". He technically should be following the 3x under 50 or 1x under 40 rule but I've already broken that a few days ago when I reduced early and still got a low number after only 4 cycles on the dose.

Then I drained the depot and now Ming's been holding steady at 50 for hours.

I feel like he wants a reduction.

    What do you think?

I think reducing by 0.5u is fine given the acro. I'd just be attentive to make sure you don't end up with a failed reduction.Given what Ming's numbers have been looking like, I suspect it will be just fine!

It seems like he' really trying to tell ya something Crista. Good luck with your decision....if it was Moey, I'd def consider reducing. When Moey gets "carb complacent" that's something I pay attention to since he's so carb reactive.
Be good for your Momma Ming. Stay on the shallow end of the lagoon:D:cat:
I hope you have a good sleep before work Crista!:)

Go with your gut. Particularly since it’s possible he is IAA and it may have resolved.

Since there is some chance Ming has IAA and it's breaking, throw the reductions guidelines out the door. It's much easier to go back up if needed. He sure is keeping Team Ming busy!

    +6 = 34

I failed to wake up in between to test but Ming!!!!!!!!

I’m assuming we’re still keeping the 2.5 unit dose as this is the 3 unit depot working?

I think you need a serious depot draining tonight. Maybe even a skip. Could even be some of the 3.25 unit depot talking.

Ooo a skip! Yes, that would be a good idea to drain the depot. I’ll see where he’s act by tonight and decide a skip or some insulin.

So much for the possibility of a failed reduction! When I saw the 34 in your subject line, my head yelled, "Skip!"

    Another vote for skip :)

He’s staying up right now so that’s good.

Ming is trying to tell you something - he's really pushing the envelope isn't he? I'd second, or is it 'third' that vote for a skip tonight...someone needs some serious time on the sidelines to chill...maybe get him a movie to watch while he's chillin'? :)

    Have a good night Crista!

Lol!!! Now I’m just imagining me forcing him to watch a movie and him just having none of it and bopping me in the face in protest.

I was very tempted to shoot and maybe 0.5 units would’ve been fine but I want to take advantage of an almost no test night! I’ll probably poke him once tonight to see what’s going on but I’m looking forward to an uneventful night at home :)
