    I'll start with Ernest is doing fine. He's happy, strong and eating. His new bloodwork was all normal except for Glucose, of course.
    Urinalysis was normal except for Glucose and bladder worms, which have been treated.

    In an attempt to keep this short:
    * Looking for another Vet
    * He has not been tested for acro etc
    * Worse on Lantus- New vet liked Lantus- we followed all of his advice on switching to Lantus and his dosing recommendations. He wanted us to switch to alpha track meter and didn't want all the home testing. He only wanted a modified curve once a week. (AMPS, 6+ & PMPS)
    * We switched back to Prozinc 6.5u BID
    * According to his spreadsheet, he did better with lower dose of Prozinc

    What should we do now??
    Start over??

    Thank you for any and all advice!
    We're exhausted.

    You are definitely not testing too much. I’d up His dose to 7. I really think you have another condition going on here. In assuming no ketones? I think his numbers were slightly better before because he is becoming insulin resistant. Same thing happened to me. Didn’t see improvements until she was in double digit doses.

    Starting over at a lower dose is not the answer I would give.
    Ernest needs as much insulin as he needs.
    Even the 7U may not be enough.

    Hope you find a new vet that will test for Acromegaly and IAA. Really think that Ernest has one or both of these conditions going on.

    Again, tests in the PM cycle, after the pre-shot test are important. Without that, you have no idea what is happening in the PM cycle.

    We just wish that Ernest felt better. Soon, very soon please Ernest! Work that juice and show your momma what the insulin can do for you!
