    HI all,

He just had his SRT on Tuesday but his numbers are higher than before. He is still on eardrops although he skipped the day of SRT which was Tuesday as we ran out and also he had only 1 unit Prozinc that day. Another variable is we ran out of Cats in the Kitchen and he has been only on Purina DM now and some occasional bites of homemade salmon for the past week.

I know I didn't have great data the past week before the SRT. He has Freestyle Libre on now so should be able to get in depth data going forward (if it doesn't stop working!).

Any thoughts on what I should do from here? @JanetNJ

Wow, I hope the SRT does great things for him! The eardrops are for an ear infection? That's probably driving the numbers up. I think i'd do 2.25 next dose. Do you get your cat's in the kitchen from Chewy? They usually deliver pretty quickly.

Reason for edit: edited because I reconsidered the dose.

Thanks for the reply @JanetNJ ! Yes, after the abdominal ultrasound which didn't find any other growths, we decided to do one high dose SRT of to the pituitary and the lung mass at the same time. Not knowing with certainty whether the lung mass is cancerous or not, thought it best to do it just in case. I know it can take weeks to months to see improvement in insulin dosage so I am going to have to keep on top of it. Thanks for the recommendation on the dosing. I think that sounds good. I'll try 2.5 or 2.75 and see what happens. Should I keep it there for about a week unless he goes low?

    I will reorder from Chewy!

    thanks again, Tillie

Oh! I just saw that low yesterday on 2.5. I didn't notice it before. ok... so maybe do 2.25 both am and pm for a few days and lets see what happens.

OH Ok, that's why I didn't notice the green the first time, it was from last year. OK, I stand by my original recommendation then to raise to 2.5-2.75

I swear I'm loosing my mind.

No, you're not, I just didn't have the right link in my profile! Thank you so much. I'll go with that for the next few days and check back with you... providing he doesn't sink too low.

Hi @JanetNJ ! We've been on 2.75 for about 5 days though I did lower it one day as he was low preshot but I think that was because of significant overlap after a late dose. Do you think we should move up to 3 at this point or give it more time? I also just opened a new bottle of Prozinc last night so not sure if that wil help anything. He also just stopped eardrops for the ear infection as that is better now.

In other news, my vet thinks he might have IBD or even Lymphoma as he has thickened intestinal wall on the ultrasound and has been having diarrhea frequently as well as lost over a pound in the past month. I don't want to put him through an intestinal biopsy. She prescribed Budesonide but I haven't given it yet. Wondered if there are any natural treatments to try?

You can move to 3 units. Good call the other day with that lower preshot. I don't know much about IBS.... Maybe start a post with that in the title.

A question like that, about the budesonide is better over in the Feline Health (Welcome & Main forum).
Be sure to put the question mark on your thread title.
Or you could try a search, looking for the word budesonide.
But it looks like Wendy&Neko had already replied to you in your thread over in the Acromegaly forum.

Perhaps those ear drops contained a steroid, and now that Valentino is not getting that medication anymore, his BG numbers will come down.
Paws crossed that happens. In combination with his SRT treatment, he'll get better, and better.

Thanks for the reply, @Deb & Wink

I sure hope things improve with him! Seems like a lot of things all at once, but I guess he's doing fairly well despite it all.

Hi @JanetNJ, What do you think about him at this latest dose? Is it getting too low or good? I wish it would stretch out a bit more. He had a 150 point drop this morning...is that to be expected do you think?
