Usually gets his shot at 9am, but he needs it at 6am now.

Could I just miss his shot tonight completely, and give it at 6am?

His BG is under control and I have lowered his dose recently because of this.

    Thanks!

I can’t see a spreadsheet to see what the BG numbers are so hesitate to say miss a dose. Has your cat ever had ketones in the urine at all ?
what is his appetite like at the moment ?

sorry! , its because my spread sheet is stuck on "read only"

Basically he is sitting at 17(low pink)preshot, at +3 hours he is at 12(low yellow), from +4 until +10-11 hours he sits in blue numbers.

I am actually about to reduce his dose because he is staying in good numbers for quite awhile. And I'm worried he might go low (he grazes during the day).

I'm not sure if he had ketones, but vet had told me he had "lots of glucose in his urine" back in November when first diagnosed. He was in red and black numbers in his first two weeks of insulin. So it's come down quite well.

He's also gained most of his lost muscle/weight back so a big turn around.

I’ll ask @Bandit's Mom if she can fix your SS so we can read it.
If you are going to reduce the dose again I would test for ketones as few times a week as a precaution as he is not Regulated.
He should be ok to skip one dose as it will only be 9 hours but make sure he eats well tonight!

that would be great thank you!
I will maybe hold off on putting his dose down, he climbs up quite high sometimes, but the lows freak me out a bit, ie today he was sitting at 4 for most of the day which seems a bit too on edge for me. He can go from green numbers to as far as black within the space of an hour. But at first the insulin was only lasting 4-5 hours on him, now I'm getting a solid 9-10. Hoping it's progress, vet convinced me to hold off on switching insulin for a little longer to see if he regulates on caninsulin, so just a waiting game really.

Anyway sorry for the rambling and thank you so much for your help!

Have you thought about swapping to a better insulin for cats such as Lantus?
In the mean time I’ll ask @Critter Mom to have a look at the numbers as she uses caninsulin.

If your cat is running in the 4mmol range then according to the FDMB Vetsulin/Caninsulin guide the dose should be immediately reduced by 0.25IU per dose. I can't give you any more than a general suggestion because there's no spreadsheet data to work with.
