Ok, here's a new topic. Poop
So today my partner delivered Maki's yesterday and today poops to me and took pictures. (He seems to be coming around the being more involved - yippee)

So yesterday's poop had dark brown (very dark, but not black) patches along it and Maki did not bury it at all. She buries 95+% of the time and really well.

    Today's poop looks ok.

Is this reason to be concerned? We researched last night as much as we could ..ulcer, gastric cancer, ugh. SO I have zero skill here and reading is only building anxiety.

    What next?

Kitty resting, not herself. Didn't even run when approached for testing and did not look for a treat afterwards

Good morning. The color of the poop changes with the food they eat. Unless very dark black which could mean bleeding or very tan/yellow which could mean EPI, don’t worry about that.

Patricia, how are you feeling? Maki’s numbers are trending up a little and might need more juice soon but we need to time it around testing ability. There’s no rush and there was a skip so she might come down more without it. I’m just thinking ahead.

I am feeling waves of improvement. So touch and go but my partner and I had the consistency to testing at least AMPS/PMPS/+2/3.

I feel like we can get those 4 a day. So I am ready to do what you tell us (barring another flair).

    How are you doing? Busy?

Let’s see what happens today and tonight. I don’t want her to get to used to being above 200 but also can’t have her getting too low. It’s a bit tricky. If the 4 tests are possible and she will eat and be able to be fed in between if she goes under 100 we might try an increase. We need to wait for enough time after the skipped dose. I think we need to give her at least 10 cycles on this dose after the skips.

So just to be clear... 10 cycles equals 5 days with no skips, correct?

I am less worried on her getting low without attention. My husband/partner seems to be suddenly "getting it". Maybe my recent attack and Maki's hypo has him thinking more.. But he is really paying attention to her, actions, demeanor, he's concerned about having a good relationship with her now that she sees him as the bad testing guy.
    Hopefully not a passing fad.

We might even hold longer than 10 cycles. We are kind of doing a hybrid version of TR. We don’t want her creeping up or going too low.

Hi Patricia, I hope you're doing well today.

I'm thrilled to hear that your husband seems more on board with attending to Maki's diabetic needs! I hope it will take some of the pressure off you.
Also glad to hear there are waves of improvement for you since your attack.

Do you know how to "tag" people? If you need help, you can try tagging them by typing "@" plus their username.
So, to tag me in a post, you would type @Butters & Lyla . When you start typing the name, a dropdown menu will appear and you can select the person's name from the list. When you tag someone, they will receive an alert that you have tagged them in your condo. It doesn't work 100% of the time but it often does.
More technology for you to try out:woot:! I see you have the emojis/smileys down now:bighug:.

You got it right. I had no idea how to tag. Thanks for another lesson.

In a way, I feel bad bugging you folks so much. There's lots of kitties to take care of and all my special needs just feel burdensome.

Thanks for taking all the time you do!

    Feed her some FF.

Should I set an alarm and test again? She has food out. She is sleeping next to my bed.

Sorry no one responded earlier. If you could get a +4, that would be great
