So far, I’d still not worry about those blue PSs. If he continues them as we decrease, we have ways to help that. He’s due for a dose reduction on a Friday if he continues at this.

    Reduction Protocol:

When the cat regularly has its lowest BGs in the normal range of a healthy cat and stays under 100 mg/dl overall for at least one week, attempt to reduce the dose.

What is the definition of overall 5%, 10% 15% of blues of the total data points

I'm not comfortable about Henry reduction Friday overall appears to be an individual interpretation needs to be an established protocol

Because I see Henry exceeding the definition of overall number of blues. (Currently Henry blues 12.5% of the data points)

There isn’t a definition and we can’t just change the protocol to identify it. Primarily, Henry has some issues with his AMPS which are always the last numbers to come down. You have done your calculations based on the tests you have gotten but if you look at the invisible numbers (the time he actually stays in BGs below 100), then he is primarily below 100.

I can advise you but you hold the syringe. Just know that there is a reason why we don’t just hold a dose that is getting them overall in green for more than a week....the depot can get overfull and come down fast. Remember that TR is already aggressive and you are wanting to push that.

Is it possible he won’t like the reduction and the BG will creep up? Yes but that’s not a disaster. As long as you go right back up as soon as you see a trend, you don’t really lose any ground.

the depot can get overfull and come down fast ==> The depot is relative to the current dosage? how does it get overfull? to me the depot will reach an equilibrium and cannot go any further than the current dosage will allow So, if a cat has finally settled down to a good dosage this will only be temporary due to overfull depot?

I should have said, “the BG will come down fast”.

The shots are cumulative and, eventually, the depot gets overfull and the BG drops. Then a reduction is warranted. You don’t want an overfull depot to get ahead of you and then you have to deal with very low numbers.

The overfull (at least in Henry's current numbers) can only get ahead of you if Henry is heading towards remission (which is a good thing).

I do not want this dosage indefinitely I just want little more time with it for Henry's (I owe this to Henry) sake. If Henry's numbers start to improve a BIT more then moved to a reduction the next day's cycle

What about minimum (6) more cycles but no more than (14)
