Someone here can afford to take their BOS down a notch. If you know what I mean. ;)
I see Hercs is back in green again. What a relief, eh?

@Wendy&Neko so.. are we getting anywhere?
I've had to keep her up the past two days with MC and hourly feeding LC. She is as flat as a stack of pancakes.
Are we only waiting for her to go below 50 where I need to fight to get her back up, before reducing?
Or am I supposed to enjoy her being so flat and... uncomfortably low? :woot:

Anyway.. shot green again. And I don't enjoy that part. I'll do a +2, and head to sleep now.

Yes, she's spending tons of time in healing green. :D She'll let you know when she really wants a reduction. Either by going a week in solid green, or under 50.

Beautiful cycle today! Mauer is looking fantastic and you're doing a great job managing her numbers. Butters used to spend a lot of time surfing the 50s and low 60s (ie "uncomfortably low"). I used to prop her up a lot, too. I changed the routine though and stick with using LC unless she drops early in the cycle, in which case I use MC.

So she can earn a reduction by being green a week?! No blue?
Then what do I do, if I have to leave the house for a day?

All this feeding is new to me.. usually I feed after nadir and just free feed.
How do you do it? I'm a nervous wreck

Reminder: *earning* reductions and starting OTJ trials

Many people have worked and had cats that liked green. You use food to keep her safe. Along with learning what her cycles look like. Look for patterns, over several cycles. I tried to find times to test that helped me predict what the cycle would look like. And if I wasn't sure and had to go away, I'd load the autofeeder with higher carb food to make sure she was safe. Better higher for one cycle.

We're five days from being long term diabetic?
So it is okay to feed MC/HC if I need to go away? Wonderful. I'm going crazy looking at my own four walls! My friend had twins last year, and I really want to go and help... and not end up with a hypo cat or worse...

The most important thing is to make sure Mauer stays safe. If you are going out and you're not sure whether she will surf safely on LC, then yes absolutely it is okay to leave higher carb food out for her. I've done it with butters.

See... you asked nicely and she gave you a break!
Feeding during the night is what driving me crazy.... I can almost manage not going anywhere during the day. Did you ever finishes your second balnket?
I am curious why you can't let her free feed now? Does she not go to the food herself when she is low?

I'm inclined to say "what blanket?"
    But no..
I'm curious about that too.. I didn't think it was possible. Or I've read it isn't recommended?
But no, I haven't seen her seek food when she's low. That's why I'm placing her in front of the food
