Happy first day of March everyone! Abby started the day at 74. she still dropped last night but it was slower than last few nights. https://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/posts/2751166/
Happy March 1st, and Abby is looking fantastic! I like the stability - Such healthy numbers I hope Abby is feeling well
Thanks - yes it’a nice to see Abby’s cycle flatten out finally. She appears to be feeling better (she is 16 so unfortunately isn’t that active but she is more social and wants to be in the room I am in) and her coat looks great. Even though I know her blood was the same on the two meters, I’ll admit I like seeing the greens finally. thanks for the words of encouragement- have a wonderful day!
Good news! A week like this and she will be ready for an OTJ trial. This extra time on the drop dose should give her a better chance at a strong remission.
I hope you are feeling better too, Elise Did your second shot kick you around? Abby told me she wants to know!
Yes. I’ve felt rotten. I got the shot around 3:00 Saturday and symptoms started about 4-5 hours later. Still running a fever but dint feel quite as awful today.
Hopefully the worst is behind you, Elise, and congrats for *almost* being fully protracted! That's got to be a relief after the last year. Take care of yourself and thanks for all you do to keep the kitties here safe. Sorry Abby is so nosy...I leave her alone next to the computer for 5 minutes and she starts making demands like she runs the place Have a good day, ladies!
I thought that was it. I had chills, headache and muscle pain about 9 hours after second Moderna shot. Horrible night. Never fever though. Felt fine two 1/2 days later. Melatonin helped at night. Be well quickly
Good to know. Thanks. I didn’t sleep at all the first night. Slept some last night. Part of that is me and part was the fever and sweating. I’d like the fever to disappear soon.
how neat yours are also 16 (from the summaries Jax seems to be more kitty-like than Abby, but I love her all the same); you've done such a good job with them and I know we are lucky to have senior cats, especially given Jax and Abby's recent numbers [I've struggled at times whether I was hurting Abby more than helping her at times during this journey] Glad to see Jax is doing so well and hope the dental check went well today!
haha, do not be fooled. He is very much an old man who mostly sleeps and keeps to himself (he's always kept himself though); I only make the notes of his playing because it's deserving of documentation Benji, my civvie, has much more pep in his step though and I do question his age (not really though...I've had them both since they were 10-12 weeks!). Awh you are not alone here! Runs through my head too. For us here, as long as the quality of life is alright, we keep on keeping on Hope Abby surfs safely tonight
