Starting a new thread as the last one was getting a little long.

    https://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/dosing-advice-for-oscar-cant-get-out-of-the-pinks.246365/

After some advice as to whether to drop back down to the 1.25u dosage after a low of 72 tonight. He's had small amounts of low carb food at +2, +4, +5 and +6 to help prevent the BG from dropping too low.

I don't know whether I should just hold on a for a bit longer on the higher 1.5u dose given this has happened before.

I had just replied to your other thread, and asked you to start a new one! Many thanks for the new thread Carrie.

No, I would not recommend dropping the dose back down. See my reply in your other thread.

Kept him on the 1.5u today, but I've just had a reading of 3.2/58 at PM+3, I'm going to reduce to 1.25 from tomorrow.

Looks like his nadir is early in his PM cycle.
Perhaps some higher carbs can get him to surf?

I'd get a test again later, to make sure he stays up.

Are you still doing the SLGS?
Could you please put it in your signature?

I gave him a tablespoon of some food with gravy at +3, tested again at +3.5 and he had gone up to 6.1.
Just retested now at +4 and he was up to 7.3, gave him normal small LC meal with added water.
I'll get another test in an hour.

I also need a bit of advice for tomorrow. I'm due to go out for most of the evening after his shot, and won't be around to monitor. Given these lower numbers these last two PM cycles that I've given food to help with, would you recommend I just leave lots of LC wet food out for him to free-feed on?

A couple of ideas for you, when you are going to be out and can't monitor.
    1. Reduce the dose to a skinny dose.
    2. Feed at +1 and +2, to keep the BG levels up.
    3. Leave out plenty of food for Oscar to eat. You might want to even leave out MC (medium carb) or some HC( high carb) food.
