Today was a weird day, for me, not jinx :joyful:
This morning it felt like his dose was bigger than usual when I injected. It made me paranoid that I gave too much. I drove back home to get a +2 and made sure he was well fed. I was probably remembering how the smaller doses felt to inject.

when I went to give him his pm shot there wasn’t enough insulin in the syringe. I double checked it before grabbing it. I was so confused how I did that. I’m not even sleep deprived today :D:eek:.

My chewy order comes tomorrow with his syringes. I just used his last syringe. I went to Walgreens and showed them my usual syringes and they have me the ones that mark every 2 units. I just opened them and realized. Should I try to use it for the morning shot? :banghead:. I live in a small town with no 24hr pharmacy.

You have the 1ml/100 unit capacity syringes and not the 30 unit/0.3 ml ones. Measuring a dose on the ones you have is really hard. Do you have a Walmart close by? Their ReliOn syringes have half unit marks. The 0.3ml U100 ones, that is.

I’m an hour away from the nearest city.

And I guess you can't go back to Walgreens for the 30 unit ones? Or do they not have it?
You could try measuring 0.75U on the syringes you have - will take some practice! :nailbiting:

You want U-100 syringes of 30 unit / 0.3 ml capacity. Preferably with half unit marks. But even if you can't find ones with half unit marks, they're still better than the ones you have right now.

This is what they had. One unit markings. 50 units total. upload_2023-1-31_22-3-44.jpeg

OK. Better than the ones you got previously. If he has to go to 1U, you can continue to use these, so not a total waste.

Just to confirm, each line is 1U in these new syringes? 50 lines/units in all?
