LL HALLOWEEN PARTY TONIGHT! ALL KITTIES INVITED!

Yo Kitties,
It's here! Halloween!! The best night of the year!! The night when the veil is thinnest and we can see and hear our beloved GAs. We'll be partying and they will be partying at the Bridge. So come one and all to our LL party. It will be in my barn. There'll be dancing, singing, we'll take a walk down the road to a farm where we can have fun in the corn maze. We'll go Trick-or-Treating. And we'll go out on the lawn where we'll have a good view of the Halloween sky and we'll communicate with all of our GA pals. Wear your costumes. We'll have prizes for the best costumes. Tess will pick you up in the LL Kitty Bus, or you can catch a ride on a witch's broom (if you are a black cat).

Here's the menu for the party. Kitchen Krew, come early: lots to do!

Appetizers: Witches' Micro Brews; Double-trouble Niptinis; Green Grog; Deviled Black Duck Eggs; Mousefoot Salsa on Nip Crackers; Bubbling Cauldron Cheese Dip.
Entrees: Brunswick Stew; Baked Rats in Puff Pastry; Howling Buffalo Wings; Ghoulish Goulash; Turkey Pumpkin Casserole; Crunchy Tarantula Tacos; Eyes of Newt.
Salad: Tossed Witches' Broom.
Desserts: Cimmamum Cobweb Cookies; Jack-o'-Lantern Cake; Black Cheesecakes; Pumpkin Bars.

At our annual Halloween party, there is a tradition. According to that tradition, it is the one night each year when the GA kitties get to visit with their comrades because the veil between both sides of the Bridge is at it's thinnest. In honor of those kitties that have gone ahead and so they are remembered here in Lantus Land, these are the name of the kitties who have joined so many well loved others at the Bridge this past year.

Among those listed is one human -- Barbara Benner. For those who did not have the privilege of knowing Barb, she was a stalwart of Lantus Land with a kitty that could dive with breathtaking speed. She had a house full of cats and dogs and horses who found their way to her home and her heart. Even as she was planning on a risky surgery, she made sure that her four legged family was taken care of. Our kitties and our friend Barb are sorely missed.

Hello all, long time! I am sure my GA Scrabble will be there to reunite with old friends! He has many costumes to choose from so who knows what he may come dressed up as! Let's party kitties!

 

Mr. Spot will certainly be sneaking out tonight to go to the party!!! And I believe that Ali and GeeCee will be going to. They want to party with all the kitty's GA and still here and will be looking for my Mr. Ralphie.

 

I just had tears in my eyes remembering the old days when Max was still here and Stu put on the most amazing parties.
Too many of Max's old friends have joined him across the Rainbow Bridge since he left 2 years ago.
May all the kitties here and beyond all join together for this occasion and I hope some of us get signs from beloved Guardian Angels that they are well
and happy.

I know that my late kitties weren't diabetic, however, I'm pretty sure that they'll be there, too. I miss them all so terribly, especially Daisy, who was (and still is) my baby.

May the good Lord be taking care of Barb. I wish I had the chance to meet her, however, I think it was before I joined.

 

Oh, tears here remembering all of our friends now beyond the bridge...especially Barbara, whose kind and generous spirit personified all that lantus land is.

I suspect my decorated pumpkins might be missing a few of their accoutrements as Willie and Herbie ready their costumes.....

 

You can add Cecil to the list, he was my diabetic acro kitty. We were regulars in Lantusland back in 2008/2009. I lost him in June of 2009. :sad:

 

Bear Man is a Bridge Old Timer who loves this annual party when he gets to see friends old and new.

Thank you, Sienne.....it brings tears to think of all our wonderful babies at the Bridge. I know you are just listing our FD GAs but our sweet civvie Gussie, who crossed last November, will be there, too, waiting to see Gracie and Tobey and all the others through the veil.

We're coming to the party!!!! We can't wait!!!!! We've been working hard on our costumes all day but they will be a surprise!!! Think "cimmamum" when you think of Tobey, though. And the LBG.....tiaras come to mind!

 

Oh yes... Buster just loves parties and is already in her holiday attire ready to go. She said that she will look for Maui only cause she loves me so much, not because she misses Maui. I told Buster that she needs to bring the boys with her and she said only if she can put them in Maui's red wagon and take them that way....now where is Lil Bit Pit with Maui's jet?!

 

Wouldn't miss it! Lookin' forward to seeing da GA kitties through the veil. Wait, I think I see Tess's bus comin' round da corner. Be der in a flash. OK, momma, I'll let Theo come too. ~Neko

Thanks for the list Sienne. It really hit home because I got to meet sweet Lucy who is on the list. But there are so many other LL friends there too.

 

Woohoo a Halloween party! Spike (old timer) will be there with his pesky sister Princess. He's having a great time running and chasing all of his friends old and new over the bridge. He's hoping there will be tunaritas...his favorite. Thanks for the invite!

Thank you Sienne for keeping track. We are very sad to see our special Zener's name on this list. We miss him terribly, especially tonight on his favorite howliday. Tillie left a while ago on the bus for the party. She had a box of tuna scented tissues in case she gets teary when the veil thins.

Thank you all so much for your support, love and kindness from the moment we joined LL through Zener's crossing of the Rainbow Bridge. We never could have done this dance without you all, and we will be furever grateful. We are thinking of Barbara tonight. She would be so honored to be included with all these sweet kitties.

That list is entirely too long. I didn't "know" all those kitties, but I know that each name represents a lot of tears and broken hearts. Hugs to all the beans that cared so tenderly for those babies and miss them every day.

 

Whew....we made it. Was so worried we'd be too late and miss the party.



SIenne, thanks SO much for remembering Hank. I miss MY PUMPKIN Boy so much on this Halloween and every day. It's nearly 7 mos he's been gone, leaving behind this huge hole...a crater. I think of him all the time and still miss him so terribly. It was too fast. Still can't add 'GA'...and never did a memorial which has bothered me. So am very grateful to see him remembered here in LL and to have this chance to celebrate him...along with a (much too long) list of other wonderful kitties, among them a couple of his good pals from the old days...and all the special beans.
I hope as you say, the veil is thinner and maybe we will get our sign which I have longed for. So HANK if you are reading this, tonight is your chance...let Mommy know you are with us...that you are safe & happy.

And so true Randi, Stu always put on the best parties. It has been so long since we've attended one and feels great to be with old friends. Stu was one of our best best buds and we miss him too, and Max, Tugger, Scrabble, Big Mac, Maui...and so many others. I know our babies are all together and partying down on this special occasion.

I am ready for my sign ((((Hank))))))) I miss your love and snuggles, your trills, and everything about you. Love you forever and always.

I miss all of my friends who crossed to the Bridge this year. So many: more than 50!! wings_cat . And my dear Auntie Barbara. How wonderful she was to write to me while she was still on Earth and to care about all of us here in LL.

This was a great party. So many inventive costumes. And we could see our GA friends through the thin veil and admire their costumes and talk to them, too. We sang our songs from both sides of the Bridge. Chefs Mannie and Stu were cooking up a storm in their Two Chefs' Kitchen and all the GAs were gathered around a great table--our GA pals who crossed this year and all our dear friends who have been our Guardian Angels for many years.

I want to tell all my aunties and uncles here in LL how great all of your kitties are. And tell you that your GA kitties are well and happy at the Bridge and that they are watching out for you and always keeping you in their hearts until you meet again.

Thank you for this poignant reminder of all the wonderful kitties who have crossed this year. They are lucky to have had great beans and to have found such a heartfelt welcome from those Guardian Angels who preceded them to the Rainbow Bridge.

 

Hard to believe it's been 10 months since Izzy has traveled to the bridge. Still miss her cute face and I still play back her purr I recorded on my phone. I hope she finds time to visit.

And I want to add Tashie and BorisV to the list.

 

Thanks to all for carrying on this tradition. it is one that Mannie and I loved. I can so remember the creation of the Circle of Remembrance. A very special night indeed. I will thank you too Sienne for including Barbara, a very special lady who cared for so many, critter and human. I think I remember her once saying that over the course of time she had 9 diabetics, countless cats and dogs as they all seemed to find her door when they needed a home. It is nice that she was remembered yesterday too.
