Any chance you can get some more numbers today, Matt? I know we sound like broken records but it is so hard to tell what is going on without any mid cycle numbers to show us how low the dose takes her. All her numbers are in the same range (20% +\-). It might be that you could increase to 1.25 for 250+ I'd be more comfortable suggesting a dose if I knew whether she was flat all cycle or whether she drops low and bounces back up.

Yeah, I'm with Sue here. I know it's annoying to hear probably, but those mid cycle numbers are key. I know you have to work tons, and only have one day off to do errands, but if you could grab some mids today, we can know more what is going on.

If you get tests around +9, +10, and +11, you will see if the insulin is wearing off early as the glucose will rise then.
The nadir, or lowest glucose post-shot, is used to adjust the insulin dose, not the pre-shot tests which only show how high the glucose is without insulin. For ProZinc, this typically falls in the +5 to +7 hours post-shot.

I can see where more tests are needed, but I don't understand why his yesterday PMPS dose was decreased when his reading was almost similar to the AMPS dose and he was given more.

ok i posted tabbys new numbers up for the week. yes she has been in the purple more then usual. And it is to hard to get tests all the time when needed as i am at work and don't have access to her until i am at home. tabby and are are trying are best here to what we have to work with and it is frustrating and i am still learning as well. thanks for all that have been chiming in and helping out as i do need advise still with dosing and etc. other then that tabby has been in a great mood and the most active i have ever seen her before. I am very blessed to have her in my life and will do my best to keep her healthy and alive for years to come. she is pretty much my best friend so.

Today's amps was nice, Matt and I like the dose.. Can you get another number in a couple hours to be sure she doesn't drop too low?

They are weird. It could be a combination of stress and a bounce from that early green. I'd keep doing what you are doing, Matt. She is gradually dropping for preshots and you're adjusting the dosage accordingly.

Tabby has a new chart loaded.. thinking the insulin is not lasting as long.. I bought a new bottle last week and have not opened it yet. Think this weekend I will open it. Thinking the old bottle is not as effective. It is the original bottle bought when she was first diagnosed.

I hope the new bottle brings her down a little, Matt. She is close to really good numbers. Once she gets adjusted to the new bottle, it'd be so nice if you'd get a couple days off and be able to push a little with the dose......

Yea. She seems to keep coming up high during preshots lately. Wondering if she is bouncing or if it is the insulin wearing out earlier then usual. So frustrating .

I'd get a curve the first day you can - maybe on the weekend? Then, depending on her nadir, consider a tweak up in dose.
