    AMPS 77 shooting .25u
Boomer ate both meals on his own last night!
I woke up about 30 minutes before his first auto feeder was to open and couldn't get back to sleep after I checked it. Tired Bean today and I have a newborn session this afternoon.:p

This is easier to see on the "world" numbers rather than the "US" numbers but is anyone else seeing a slight upward trend? I'm hoping that it has something to do with my giving Boomer less food the last couple of days (in an effort to get him to eat his overnight food) so today I've given him his normal amounts because the only one I really need to decrease a bit is his 11:00 pm +3 bedtime meal.
I know he is still qualifying for a reduction tonight (assuming no surprises today anti jinx) but DH and I are concerned that if there is a slight upward trend now he will just fail the reduction.
sigh. Am I looking for a problem where none exists? These weeks when we're watching his BGs so closely are the longest weeks of my life!

If you squint there is a smidge but with the 20% variance in meter readings I think he's fine. See what others have to say and if you're concerned maybe hold him here for another cycle or two?

I don't really see it. He's still in all greens. The highest number recently was on the 0.5 unit dose when he gave you 94 on 2/12.

Had a thought.....last night at PMPS I screwed up the timing of the overnight auto feeders and had to reset them at bedtime which was +2.5. I know they usually open about half an hour early but last night I think they opened about an hour early. So the snack that Boomer has at +9 (which results in a green AMPS) was actually eaten around +8. So it's possible that it stopped the insulin from working at that point. Or...even if it triggered his pancreas to work like the +9 hopefully does, the affect may have worn off by AMPS.
Today's plan....full size meals with the exception of the +3 tonight AND preventing the auto feeders from opening half an hour early (which results in an ear poke immediately after the meal at +2.5, +5.5 instead of before meals at +3, +6

Just as stressful a when they are high. I remember pacing a lot when Doodles was riding those 50's. Hang in there, he's got it this time:)

Most here would love to see numbers like this. I see a cat ready for a reduction and it's earned the hard way. Congrats!

haha Boomer is amusing me right now! His box (thanks Costco) that sits near his feeding area is now in our bedroom thanks to the upcoming photo session. He came into the kitchen a few minutes ago looking for food; normally he would go lay in his box and wait. So he did, even though the box is now in a different room. Silly Boomer.

I remember the first reduction BK earned as a result of 14 days of normal BG readings (rather than dipping below 50) - 8/11/2009 from 1.25u.to 1u...It was nothing short of surreal.

I do not see any real trend up or down, myself. Hope Boomer does well for you the rest of the day!

no worries, he's all green. Lower isn't necessarily better as long as he's in that range. If there was blue starting to appear then I would be more cautious, but Boomer looks great!

hmmm doesn't seem right so retested but second test higher. Even with the reduced dose the depot should have carried him through until tomorrow. NDW already? Guess we'll see.

Paws, tails, fingers, toes here all crossed for the reduction. There is no NDW for going down in dose, only when going up.

Great news on Boomer eating his meals at night on his own. Now if only he could continue doing that and you could keep on sleeping.

Green as far as my eye can see!! Remember he can't tell the difference between 50 and 100!

    Good luck with the reduction.
