Phosphorus binder question....

    Which binder is best ? Where best to purchase it?

    Phosphorus binders

    Are you getting Elmo's blood tested regularly? You need to get it checked before starting the binder and also checks during treatment to make sure that the dose is OK.

    Thank u so much , Mogs. Elmo does get regular blood tests with his hyperthyroid so I get a full blood done each time just to be safe. I am gathering info now should the case arise where he may need a binder. We definitely don't need any constipation! Again, thank you:)

    I use the powered aluminium hydroxide. I get mine from Thriving Pets. Also also administer about 1/6-1/8 tsp generic Miralax since already pointed out, it usually causes constipation

    That is the phos binder that was recommended to me on the Facebook CKD site. I haven't used it yet but have it on hand for when I will need to.
