I got to sleep in today! My dad tested him and he was 313 for the preshot. Given 1 unit of insulin.

Mayton pic(s) of the day! I just took this one, he loves sitting in the sink! He used to fill up the entire thing when he was really big haha, I'll put one of those too.

Morning Mackenzie, glad you got some sleep, such cute pics, Mayton is looking very svelte and handsome now.:cat::cat::cat::cat:

Sorry to be the eternal nag but remember to get those before bed tests every night, they are very important. I'd watch for him clearing that bounce as from today, this morning is cycle 4 since that green that triggered the bounce ;)

Yeah I don't know why but i just completely forgot last night, and I look at the sheet this morning and saw there wasn't a test! I will be home later tonight to make sure we get one.

I think Mayton had diarrhea... it's not covered up which sometimes he doesn't do and he has litter in his paws so I'm pretty sure it was him. Why would he have that? He is fine otherwise.

Have you given him different food?

I don't know if this is true for other cats but this is my hypothesis for my kitties: the switch to all wet food only has caused an upset with their tummies. Both my kitties have had soft poos on and off since being on an all wet food diet. We also went a little crazy with food choices and I am sure that eccerbated things, but they had quite a variety of wet foods when they ate dry along with it ans never had stomach upsets like this. I think it has to do with losing the bulk in the dry and gosh knows what is in these wet foods. Seems like they are all loaded with some type of bad ingredient.

Mackenzie, you can try giving him some organic pumpkin to firm things up or some slippery elm bark mixed in with his food. It's talked a lot about on this board. Obviously if he keeps up with the soft stools, a visit to the vet might be in order. Hope he gets back to feeling normal soon! BTW...when I switched Ozzy to FF classics only, he vomited every day until I switched him to something else. I have read that others have had similar issues with that food.

Also mixing in some probiotics is also recommended for diarrhea.

Thanks for the advice! I don't think fancy feast is a problem for Mayton because he has eaten it for 3 weeks straight with no vomit/diarrhea.

Plain pumpkin can help with diarrhoea and constipation, start with 1/2 tsp twice a day and build up from there if necessary. If the poops start getting too fat you've overdone it and should reduce the amount of pumpkin.

The pet sitter was successful at poking! He read 302 for his pre shot. I'll check him again at +4

I still think that Vaseline would be fine for his feet. Petroleum jelly is an ingredient in hairball remedies for cats so if he licks it no harm done.
