    Yesterday's

He is a bit constipated today. That is my fault. I quit giving the two laxatives together and miscalculated how much MiraLax to give in each concurrent meal. *sigh*

Either way, he is still feeling pretty good. I had him playing earlier and that is always so heartening to see!

We are zeroing in on a date for travel and SRT. I hope to have a definitive date and time within a few days!

Oh yeah! I had ordered and tried the Weruva again. I was giving him Sheba because it is low in carbs and relatively low in phosphorus as well. However, after blending it up and seeing nothing but a sandy, bone silt on the bottom of the blender I do not know how they can call it low phosphorus. He has been showing some faster breathing rates directly after eating and I could never really be sure as to what was causing it. However, after slowing incorporating the Weruva back into the mix and eliminating the bone silty Sheba, I am not seeing that anymore. It is my thought that that silt was causing some irritation after he ate. I hope I am right and have solved that issue at the least!

Paws crossed you've seen the end of those issues.

EEEEwwwww on the silty Sheba, it does make you wonder about the labeling doesn't it???
I'm glad he's been taking to the weruva.

I imagine you must be getting nervous with the SRT date approaching

Yes, it does. He was strictly RadCat, but his megacolon simply could not handle it. I have heard many a good thing about Weruva.

Oh... Unbelievably so. I am a bundle of nerves with a huge check-list! But, I know that this is the right choice. It is so exciting and so nerve wracking. He will handle it far better than I!

We don't get it here in europe, but from what I have heard on the board here it's pretty good quality. I hope that it suits him.

Having a check list is a great idea, I imagine there's a lot of things to remember.
Do you have to travel far for it?

That's a long way, I'm glad he's a good traveler, BFG isn't, taking on a journey like that with him would be very daunting. Our civie Fred on the other hand likes a good road trip:)
I'm sure it will go well seems like you have it under control.

It is in Pullman Washington. Even after travel, the cost of the procedure, and CT Scan it is still very much cheaper than most places. But, I chose it because I know of at least two people who have gone there with nothing but very positive reviews. I feel comfortable in it and that is the most important. That it be done right and by skilled Veterinarians!

Thank you! I would travel to the ends of the world and bankrupt myself for this guy! This guy is my everything. Even my daughter agrees! She is five and said, "Mom. I just want Pig to feel better.." I hope she takes from this that we do everything we must to protect the ones we love.

My civie Tail is like that and I am not so sure I would consider such a trip with him as it would most likely do more harm than good... pig was an only child for quite a while and as such, we went everywhere together. At the time, I worked for an international snack company (Frito Lay) and I had a very large area I was responsible for. This meant a ton of travel. I took the promotion under one condition, that the company pay my pet fees with the hotels... Lol!

Thank you! I do not feel like it is under control, bit I have an amazing bunch of people by my side helping me in all things. We are truly blessed beyond words!

I'm excited about the upcoming SRT, and Pig isn't even my kitteh! I hope this heals him a lot. It will be fun to watch his insulin demand drop.

    Leo is now getting:
    4.5 units - AM dose
    2.5 - 3.0 units - PM dose

And Leo is now fairly regulated. That's a lot more fun than 18 units a dose and having wild BG curves.
