Having a really had time finding a vet in my immediate area who seems to really know what they are doing with diabetes and also doesnt try to take advantage financially. The current vet is ok but they are a little pushy with the visits and she makes large unit jump recommendations at a time and I have to correct her and tell her thats too much and I will go by 1/2 units. One of my cats also needs his teeth done and I dont know if I am comfortable leaving him at that one honestly. The hard part of looking is that when calling around you cant get past a receptionist to know if you are about to waste your(and your pets) time by finally talking to the vet and seeing what you will get. Was wondering if there was a list or something of recommended vets that are good throughout the country?

In the beginning, I was frantically trying to find a vet in my area that I thought knew more about diabetes than the rest, and finally after months and finding this site, I gave up. Most vets just don't get that much education in feline diabetes in vet school, maybe a few hours to a couple of days. They have to learn about many species and diseases and procedures.
