Hi wise ones! A quick question. I'm giving Akie, our elderly arthritic civvie, 25 ml liquid suspension fish-flavored gabapentin mixed in her food twice a day. I draw the suspension up by pushing a needle-less syringe through a kind of tight hole in the rubbery top of a bottle.

Does one wash the tip of the syringe after doing this or wipe it dry with a kleenex or something? I've been keeping the syringe in a plastic baggie so as to keep it relatively uncontaminated.

    Thank you!

When I have to give liquid meds I rinse the syringe or dropper by pulling in water a few times. This way I do not have any of the meds drying up in it.
