Am I seeing this correctly- Friskies gravy lovers has about 21 % carbohydrates and the Hills prescription diet for diabetic control has 30 something....I couldn't find the "RX" diets on Dr Piersons chart so I looked it up on their site.

wait, never mind, the "glucosupport one" is 13... Still keeping this up because most of their crap food has 20-30 % carbs..

oh the C/D for bladder health has 29% carbs.. back in april 2019 Mimi had a stone removed and they wanted me to put her on that diet- she probably would have went DKA the very next week if I did that... (I think she's been pre-diatbetic for longer than I thought, possibly months)

Yep, most "prescription" food is still above the 10% carbs or less regimen for sugar babies...we use Gravy Lovers as our high-carb emergency food for that very reason.

should I use the one that has 30 percent carbs for HC , because the gravy lovers only has 15%, and there are other brands that have 20-30%.. I just looked at most of Hills canned food and they have the lowest amount of protein and fat, and the highest amount of carbs compared to other brands- and cheap brands like Fancy Feast which have protein and fat as their highest.. what is wrong with that company.

20% is usually sufficient, I keep a couple cans of Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers on hand plus a couple medium-carb ones in the 11-15% range.

most previous gravy foods are high carb.. their somewhat newer extra gravy ones are not. we use the friskies pates that say ‘extra gravy’ on them, the turkey one is only like 3% carbs and cats like it just as much.
