So Tigger has had nothing in the litter box for 24 hours. Appetite has decreased for 3 feedings now, which he normally has no problems eating his wet food that I switched him to 2 weeks ago. I put some tuna in it as a bribe, and he ate about half. His water intake has decreased also. I saw him at the dish once this morning, but not like normal. His AMPS was 199 today. I called the vet and made an appointment for tonight. Activity wise, he is acting completely normal. Jumping up on the bed, waking me up for food, ect. Please help, I don't know how I'm going to function at work today. What could be wrong? I thought he was doing so well :(

Is he peeing and not defecating, or neither? If he’s still peeing, he could be constipated which might also be making him feel less hungry

Neither empty box completely. Last time I emptied it with something in it was yesterday morning.
I do add additional water to his food.

I thought that too..which he never has done that before. I didn't smell anything or see anything and I feel that's a hard one to miss.

Is he going to the litter box and trying to pee or defecate? That could be a sign of a UTI or a blockage by crystals or constipation. If so you need to get him to the vet sooner, especially if it may be crystals

I've been trying to watch to see if he is even going in, but I haven't noticed him in there. There may have been a dribble or two in there this morning. Other than that, his temperament is normal.

I would bring him in. That could be an emergency

Tigger finally peed around 12. Took him to the vet anyway since it was a long time without peeing or pooping. Apparently my cat is just being picky. Vet got a urine sample. 100% normal. She said since he is a big cat, he has a big bladder..and he's just being lazy. Brought him home, he ate all his food, back to drinking water. Sugar at the vet was 132. He is going to give me an ulcer. And my husband thinks I'm a psychopath haha. Still no poop, but since he wasn't eating much I guess there's not much to come out.

That's good news that they did not find anything wrong. Great number for the glucose test.

Good news on the urinating! If you think he might be constipated, you could try some canned pumpkin or Miralax. I know that Miralax will not soften the stool that’s already formed, just future stool, but I’m not sure about the pumpkin
