Hate to do it! But I need to go to work and Panic's dropping fast. I just gave her a tbs HC and a handful of dry food to boot. What do I need to leave out for her?

I hope someone else will come along to give a definitive answer. I've left out MC for Moey while away and not being able to monitor. He's a carb sensitive kitty though. I suppose you could mix HC in with your LC or just leave MC/HC minus the LC out for Panic. Good luck with your decision:bighug:

Sorry no one answered yet. Depends on her reaction to carbs. If she's very carb sensitive then some MC.

Sorry I'm fresh out of MC, am picking up more after work. She responds well to carbs but I gave her some HC and checked a half hour after and she was still dropping. I've asked my mom to feed her a bit of HC every half hour for a couple hours, any better suggestions I can call and give her? I don't want to overload her.

I think your approach is fine. Offer the carbs during the "strongest" part of the cycle then taper off. You're not there to monitor so, keeping Panic safe is more important than the #s. Just my thoughts.

Thank you so much! Panic did fine - when I got back and tested at +9 she was 256 which...I'm surprised it wasn't higher. Stocked up on extra MC/HC as well so no more of that issue!

Great! Do you have an auto feeder? If not, will she graze or gobble if you leave food down?

I do! She is mostly outdoors though and sometimes she likes to wander away from her feeder so I can't rely on food 100%. If someone else is home (like today) I usually have them give her a shout to bring her back at feeding time. Not a grazer at all since diagnosis aha.

    I remember those days.

Turn up the volume and listen for the feeder to turn. Lol
