I think you were OK with the increase. Although, it's hard to tell with not much mid cycle data. SLGS calls for doing a curve every 7 days and you went over 3 weeks. You can also get more data if you could do a before bed test at night, or any weekend when you could do spot checks during the day. We determine how to change the dose based on how low the dose takes the cat. The lows are typically somewhere in the middle of the cycle, not the preshots. With SLGS, you want those lows or nadirs to be in the 90-149 range, and you just saw one of those on the previous dose.

I thought nadirs were supposed to be near 90? I didn’t do a curve sooner because there were a couple of times that i gave reduced doses. I wasn’t sure if this would effect the curve.

It seems like yesterday may have been an atypical day for her based on that high PM test?

Per SLGS, you hold the dose if nadirs are between 90 and 149. That's nadirs, not nadir. If you give reduced doses, you should have the depot built again within 3 days and you can do a curve after that. And don't wait for curves, those spot checks during the day or night are equally valuable.

The high PM was a bounce from either a few hours in blue, or the fast drop from AMPS to +4.

    I didn’t realize, thank you.

I’ve been thinking nadirs should be around 90 and present at 300.
I keep the dosing guidelines written on a whiteboard where I give her shot.

    I’ll reread the SLGS guide.
