    Kitties All--

Let's gather together, sugars and civvies, for the Full Buck Moon, also known as the Full Thunder Moon. With how the full moon is overlapping dates this month, let's party two nights--and all day in between! Don't worry, we've set out extra blankies for restorative naps between shindig shenanigans.

Of course there will be traditional favorites as purrpared by my mentor, Chef Rusty, and the Kitchen Krews of yore at Buck-and-Thunder Moons past. Chieflet Luna and Taster-Kitchen Liaison Roxi make sure everything is always as good as you remember!
Appetizers: Adirondack Microbrews; Moontinis; Moonlight Cocktails; Wine Spritzers; Shrimp Cocktail; Turkey Rollups; Fondue; Assorted Paw Prints Pizzas. Sushi Bar featuring specialties of Sushi Chef Tux, including Chef Neko's fabulous sushi rolls made with the fish we catch.
Entrees: Hot dogs and Michigans; Big Mac's Burger Extravaganza with The Works; Grilled Lake Trout and Walleye; Chef Rusty's Thunderin Bison Chili; Chef Mannie's PNW poached Sockeye Salmon; Rat Pie.
Salads: Fiddlehead Fern Salad; Butthead's & Donny's field greens; Chef Felix's Sweet and Savory Crunchy Crouton Toppers.
Desserts: Maggie's Blueberry Cheesecakes; Ice Cream & Tobey's Cimmamum cookies; Apple Torte a la Chief Pastry Chef Tess; Moon Pies; Surprise dessert a la Dessert Chef Sootie; Chef Stu's world Famous Catmint Parfaits.
Newer traditions include Bubba's MouseMousse; Leo's Chunky Tuna and Salmon Ice Cream with Sardine Sprinkles; Olive's Shoelaceghetti with a side of pickles; TinySolé's sister Cookie's cod brownies filled with catnip; PussCatDusty's crispy birds feet served on baked catnip wafers (mmmmm, crunchy!) as well as her sweet and sour skink tail vol-au-vents & freeze dried plain yoghurt balls; Chef Felix's Mediterranean platter with crunchy falafel, catmint mewli-tabouli, and smoked papurrika hummouse; Chieflet Luna's Longtail Surprise à la Rosa and Regan. Hit the Tiki Hut for Bella's specialties, including catinis and sardine smoothies (I order my smoothies extra crunchy).

If you're not quite feeline up for feasting and dancing the night(s) away, then we'll find you a comfy spot on the Taster Blankets for quieter festivities and lighter fare. They're the purrfect place to view the Circle of Remembrance at midnight, when the veil thins and we can purrceive our loved ones who have Gone Ahead partying with us.

I got a new apron for the Buck Moon. It's one of my favorites.

Party down with your purring selves!
    Chef Felix

Don't forget to look up for the lunar eclipse. Starts just after 11:07 p.m. Toronto time.

Neighbourhood cat Hoss is on his way. Told him there was food galore (between his house and my front stoop, he eats about seven times a day) to stay both nights. That way, I don't have to figure out where he is before I feed the resident chipmunks.

As it's still party tonight, Ti-Mousse can't wait to taste everything on the menu and if any leftovers he's ready to bring a doggy bag home.... Of course, Peanut is all dressed up hoping to meet a cute little girl to dance with all evening! He even went to the groomer... no more knots... soft fur!!!

I was outside last night and saw the full moon -- poor Tina may have missed the last party, since I didn't tell her about it! I hope she's smarter than I am about this kind of thing, and never again misses this awesome monthly event. She loves and adores Felix and ALL the others she visits. This full moon, she had to go see her GA old best bud, Yoyo, behind/beyond the veil. All is well . . . our words are short, but hearts full:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you so much for posting Susan:bighug:
I hope all the kitties come home feeling much better and bring peace and love home to their beans.

I do believe Luci was there! She just loves those pawties, gets out there on the dance floor and twirls around...and does the 4-footed shuffle with the rest of them...I was wondering why she's being so lazy today. No surfing, just a lot of languid stretching and sleeping - first in her sunspot on the carpet and now on the glass coffee table - she insists it's cooler there on the glass...but so far hasn't lifted a single paw to even venture out of the lemon tree. I gave her a pokey break after a very disappointing climb firmly to the lemon tree nest by mid-morning!

I'm so glad the other kitties were there too! It's wonderful that they can go for the lifting of the veils at midnight to see the GA's and play. I know she sends purrs and chin rubs their way. Send my regards to Chef Felix...Luci is too exhausted...but I think she's grateful for these pawty's. Gives her something to look forward to :):bighug::bighug:

We've been here since yesterday, making sure everything runs smoothly. We've been very happy not to have to deal with fireworks this weekend and instead, concentrate on making all the wonderful food on the menu for everyone as well as making sure they enjoy it all. Unfortunately, the kittens hid our phone so we weren't able to post yesterday, but I just found where they'd hidden it...naughty kittens, probably hoping to get a few extra days partying if we couldn't find it in time to go home tomorrow morning! We're ready for another full night of partying, so anyone who isn't here should come on over - there's still plenty of food for everyone, and plenty of energy for dancing. Luna is busy in the kitchen, and I'm busy at the taster blankets taking notes from all the kitties there. And there's still plenty of time to see all our beloved GAs at the Circle of Remembrance. ~Roxi

Thanks, everykitty! It's so good to see everyone--on both sides of the veil. We'll all get home just in time to start our Monday morning right, with a nap.
    Love and purrs,
    Chef Felix

I think Gus may have brought his new friend, "Bucky"--a young male deer with "spikes" (will become antlers as he grows; these young males are called "spikers" here). Anyway, the party was a great success, and all the kitties partied on and on. Love your new apron, Chef Felix. The menu was a huge hit with Gus.
