I have half a doz bottles with a little insulin left. What is the proper way to dispose? Just put in trash? Or should i draw the insulin out with a syringe and mix in cat litter for disposal?

I don't think anyone has ever asked that question! I always put mine in the trash.

When my mom was living with me she passed away and hospice came in and brought a container with a lid and some cat litter then put all of my moms meds in it and added water and shook it up to dispose of it. I was thinking about doing that with the bottle of Novolin I won't be using.

Just throw the insulin bottles in the trash. It is not a drug used recreation. The mixing with cat littler or similar is used for drugs that have recreational use like pain killers. Insulin is just an amino acid and will not build up in the environment like some other drugs.
