    Hello everyone.

Has anyone here tried to use the free style libre?
I just want to find out if the numbers are quite close to actual Blood measurement?
I am thinking of getting it to Momo, so that when I am at work, my kids or my husband can take her numbers?
Since her BG (nadir) always towards the end of the cycle- Most of the time- I waited couple of hours( which sometimes I need to go home during my lunch break), so that I can dose her. Whenever her PS #s are low, I always wait until her number rises.. I already know her- If I don’t dose her and wait for another cycle she will be at 500+ which I am trying to avoid. I rather wake up in the middle of the night or come home from work@my lunch break, than see her BG@500+-600( I get more stressed seeing those numbers). I feel more relaxed when she is in a normal BG.
Is free style libre a good idea?
    Thanks

There’s a thread on the main forum and another in think tank. @Larry and Kitties has used it. One member got several for her cat a few months back. That cat went OTJ quickly though and she hasn’t been around since. They only last a maximum of 14 days and sometimes fail. They weren’t around when I had Max. I think it’s worth a try but read those threads. Put free style Libre in the search column.

When Freckles had the Libre on, I found that it was not very accurate for high numbers but better for low numbers. I did not trust it other than to see if Freckles was climbing or dropping. It could have just been the one I had wasn't working well? IDK. It stayed on Freckles for about 2 week but by the end of the 2 week, it must have been itchy as it started to bug her.
