Talbot is doing well, he's happy and chatty. He took an interest in the toaster today for the first time in quite a while. These days he's very determined to check out all the cabinets and demands to have them opened for his inspection. He loves to be on DH's lap after work and at night. He complains in that meezer voice when DD holds him but he loves it!

Oldest DD took the LSAT today so the next three weeks of waiting for the results could be interesting.

I'm very sad for Linda and Bear Man. A passing of another legend.

I don't post as much as I used to. I'm still adjusting to the loss of my Dad this last January and the ongoing care of my mother in CA. I just haven't gotten back to posting but I do check in to see how the kitties are doing.

I'd like to update my SS so I could post more often but I'm having a lot of trouble with it. I posted in Tech but haven't gotten any responses yet. Maybe starting a new page would help? Can't get the black grid lines to be black (they're grey now) and I've tried to drag the lines from above. But, now the info I enter won't center in the boxes so it cuts it off. I've tried clicking on the align button to center things but it won't. Maybe it's from dragging the lines down from above. Ekkkkk!

Great to hear Talbot is doing well. Sorry to hear about your folks, must really be difficult being so far away from your mom. I can't help with the ss problems, but I can commiserate with you. Hope you get it figured out.

    Hi Melinda,

It's great to know that Talbot is doing well. I've always loved that picture of him watching the toaster!!!

I don't post very often, either, so it was a great surprise to see your post today. Must be Linda and Bear Man who brought all the oldtimers to the Board today.

I'm so sorry about the loss of your father. My mom passed away almost 4 years ago so I know how hard it is to lose a parent. I hope your mom is doing ok.

I'm also having trouble with my SS. Might be there's too much data in it since I have the same sheet I started with in 1/09. If you find out anything, will you please let me know? I'll do the same!

Good luck to your daughter on the LSATs!

I hope our postings overlap in the near future. :D

Hi Melinda : I'm so glad that Talbot is doing so well. That's so great to hear. I'm sorry about your parents. I was in your position about 5 years ago. Being a member of the sandwich generation is so hard. You want to help your parents so much but you have your own family to care for let alone taking care of yourself. Then when they pass it's still so hard to take.

As for the spread sheet -mine has be doing the same thing I think. I have no idea how to fix it so I just keep doing what I'm doing.

Hope to see you more often. Tori just got out of the hospital yesterday after yet another CP flare. This one was quite severe- the fPL1 was 13.9. Her node is back down though so it looks like the chemo is working. My little one just keeps on going.

It's good to hear that Talbot is well and back to inspecting cabinets and appliances!

If you're not getting SS help in the Tech Center, maybe sending a PM to Cyn? I think she set up the SS.

Wish your daughter well...so many changes going to happen.
Where in Cali is your Mom? My sympathy to you on the loss of your Father. We lost my Mother Nov 2009 and it is still painful to bear. (((Melinda)))

Nice to see you. Sorry you are not able to visit often, but life sometimes gets in the way. Fantastic that Talbot is still Talbot and doing so well. Prayers for your Mom and trying to assist her long distance. That is difficult.

I'm positive that I can fix your ss, but I would need edit access to it (I don't actually know what's wrong with it, but I could figure it out). I think there's a way you could share it with me, or you could change your google password, share that with me, and then change it again after I finish. Let me know if you want me to try.
