AM +2 is a huge drop again of 200. I am not going to prop him up with med carb snd see what happens. I can monitor today. But I cannot see monitoring and switching food back and forth forever..Of course I will if I have to.

You're doing great, Shelley :bighug::bighug::bighug: Have you considered an auto-feeder? Sorry if I've asked that before. Of course my dream-autofeeder hasn't been invented (the one where it tests BG and feeds accordingly :joyful:) but it could still be helpful if Ollie's having an active cycle and you need to leave him. I especially loved my auto-feeder at night so I could sleep (I used it both AM and PM cycles).

I think you did mention it to me. My daughter is going to give me hers. Sadly, it’s not needed at her house. I just have to remember to get it from her. I e been there twice already. Sheesh.

Sorry about the circumstances :bighug: but hopefully Oliver will learn to love it (Jax literally sat by his when he knew it would open lol). Hope you all have a good evening :bighug:

Wow, just saw that Oliver threw you a 45. That boy keeps you on your toes. I wonder whether he went low last night and that’s why he was HI this morning or whether he just stayed high all cycle.

Looks like he just earned a dose reduction.

Good catch. And keep up the good work. I know it’s exhausting, but it usually doesn’t go on this way forever so hang in there. We like to say that every cat is different and that’s so true of Oliver; he’s also a classic example of “know thy cat.” I think your data is revealing a lot and is invaluable. I also wonder if the +3 might be a bit more telling of where the cycle is heading than the +2 (although maybe not even that, given his penchant for deep dives). Just thinking out loud... and will be curious where he heads tonight. :)

I think that’s a good idea to start checking +3 instead of +2. Will do that. Now he usually doesn’t get to eat at this time because of insulin shot test, so, when I check him in an hour here I am concerned about how low he will go. We are cleaning our a cabin and I have been packing and dumping all day. Tomorrow more of the same, so I won’t be able to monitor aggressively tonight. We will be back to normal Friday evening.

Question: Oliver went neon today. Now Oliver is 57 @+11. This is usually his 2 hour insulin fasting time, so I am in a quandary on what to do. He is dropping instead of rising at the end of his cycle. He probably needs food and shot time is less than an hour away. I can’t monitor all night. I need advice on what to do. Thank you!!!

If you can’t monitor I would feed him now and skip tonight. He’s already earned a reduction to1.75 so nothing to prove. Your other choice is to feed him hc and shoot but no guarantee he won’t need monitoring.

I will not shoot. This is an obnoxiously busy week for us. Thanks

It seems something has changed and I don’t think this will set him back at all. Just feed some lc. Can you get a few tests in before you go to bed to make sure he’s on the rise?
