I find those blacks to be scary. I guess it is a bounce since he REALLY is not used to low numbers. I hope things get easier for you and your gorgeous Oliver. I'm sitting here with a kitty named Oliver as I type this (but he's an orange tabby). You are checking for ketones, right? (Sorry, I always worry about ketones.)

Yes, he was at the vet during this period of blacks and they checked for that. I have strips too. I don’t like the blacks either. I thought we were back on track yesterday, but ugh. He had a huge drop at +3 (normal for him, so I hope he is working on clearing whatever his problem is.
 
Hi, Shelley. Oliver did have a good am cycle yesterday. I agree with Carla that the high number this morning was probably a bounce from those great numbers yesterday in the am cycle. Hope he comes down soon.
 
Olivanigans. It's been a while since he's seen those blacks! Still, as long as ketones aren't an issue that spares some urgent panic at least. And he's eating ok? So hard to decide what's the most frustrating - poor behavior but decent numbers or poor numbers and cat acts like "What's your problem, mama? Leave me be!!"

He is still on antibiotics for a uti. I’m not sure if it’s still messing with him or not. He is eating great. Same as always. He is definitely in the “what’s your problem mama? leave me be!” category today. :)
