Cozmo 8/28/21 amps 290, +4 74, +5 45, + 5.5 51

Ok.. so after 2 weeks of the lowered dose and only a couple greens in that time, i increased to a very skinny 1 unit. After just 4 cycles he just tested at 45. I gave him some med/ high carb food and will test again shortly. But I'm way confused by his numbers. He's acting ok, and I'm pretty confident that at +5 he'll start going up on his own, but i just don't get it. :-( I'll go back down to .75 tonight, yeah?

For those from yesterday thank you. He tested 112 before the very visit, and 136 at the vet she said all his numbers on everything looked really good.. so no issues other than diabetes. Thank goodness.

Yes, with that 45 today you go back to 0.75U. Sometimes cats need a higher dose for only a short time to kickstart their pancreas.
Did he get any food between AMPS and +4/+5? Feeding smaller meals through the cycle helps prevent sharps drops.

He did not get any food in that time. We both went back to sleep and I checked his blood when I woke up. Then he ate a bit right after I got the 74. After the 45 I gave him a high med carb and he ate that up just fine.

He usually does eat small amounts through the day. But right after his morning shot we both usually go back to sleep for a bit.
