09/03 money amps/54 +1/68 +6/86 pmps/93 +3/119 +9/119

Does that mean she could be doing hypos at night ? Like this morning she was in 50s but she slept right beside me all night and seemed fine in morning … except that she was very hungry Lolol
 
Hi I don't have advice but I'm following. It's interesting what is going on with Money's blue and green mix and I'd love to hear what the experts think. BTW I think your fur baby is just GORGEOUS.
 
I’m not ready to call for a OTJ trial but I would like to try a food trial and see what happens. That means you try lc food, a +9 snack both cycles and see what happens. If successful you move to an OTJ trial. If not back to a drop. Are you game?

I think Elise means you still shoot but make sure to feed at the +9. If a cats pancreas is ready to go OTJ you will find that the +9 will lower the BG and keep Money out of the blues for her preshot BG checks. They are trying to solve this mystery first before trying OTJ they want kitties to be positioned for a strong remission. @tiffmaxee is my understanding correct, she still shoots?

Ohhhhh okkkk ….. if that’s the case the missed dose this morning will also affect her numbers too no…?

You want to see a consistent pattern with the +9, so I'm sure they will give it long enough to see if the +9 is working, she is on so little insulin I think she will bounce back from the missed shot quickly so it won't affect much, you will see as you go! :bighug::bighug:

I want to say I don't know if it much matters, since you're looking for a change in the PS values and everything else is staying equal - I would have a hard time getting a +9 shot in the night cycle personally. But if I was in your shoes, I might test just to "know" exactly what is going on real time between +9 and PS.

I still hope Elise will chime in to make sure I am on the right track with my thoughts, but I think I am.

Definitely won’t be easy Lolol but I will do if necessary and yes I hope soo too cuz my pmps is coming up in 1.5 hrs … I already gave her +9 food but didn’t test :banghead: … also I feed ff pâte so that’s lc right !?! Lolol sorry for the stupid questions but I just want to make sure … I tried feeding her at +9 last week and I found it made her numbers go up … !! And now with these low amps I’m starting to stress out about what is going on while I’m sleeping :(

No. Actually Bhoona and I think there’s a possibility Money is bouncing from even the drop dose. No matter what dose we see some 100-110 bg. I am suggesting she not give any insulin for a few days, feed lc, and consistently give a +9 snack to see if the bg is green in the morning. It would not be an official otj trial but rather a food trial. If green at amps/pmps we know the pancreas alone is working. It will interfere with your sleep but if it works we move to an otj trial and for 2-3 weeks you will be sleep deprived. However if we see more blue we know a little insulin support is still needed.

If blue at amps see if a +3-4 is green.

Ok understood !!! Only thing is Sunday I will be gone from +1 till +8 so I won’t be able to get the +3-4 is that ok ? And do I test at +9 or no..?
 
I’m honestly thinking of getting a libre back on her I think it will help a lot to see what’s going on !!

A week can make all the difference. When Pearl got down to a drop the first time, she wasn't ready to come off insulin and had to go back up a little bit. She made it back down to the drop quickly and then just came off.

I don’t know what will happen but it’s worth a try. Don’t worry about Sunday. Just get tests when possible. You don’t need a +9 test but I’ll never say don’t test. All data is good. I’m just as curious to see what happens as you are. It can’t hurt her to try except if it fails I got your hopes up for nothing. So no guarantees. That’s why it’s not an otj trial at this point. If it backfires you just go back to the drop dose. Good luck.

Thx babe I really appreciate everything and I learnt last time not to get my hopes up tooo much and to be patient !!! ;) I will get the libre on sum time this eeekend and test test test !!!! Those low amps are stresssing me out!!!
