Yesterday's Reds

Yesterday it was a red red red day. But did get much needed sleep since I got the night off.

Today we have better numbers. Ketones are 0.1 Kitty is happy and has good energy. Sleeping now at AM +7 since let's be honest, looking that great is soo tiring lol. Looking forward for more low blues. How about a nice green?

Just glanced at Henry's SS. I thought I was a serious scanner, but you've got me beat by far! How do you survive without sleep? Do your libres last the full 14 days? If so, where on Henry do you place them? Mine have only been lasting 3-4 days lately.

I have a Reader and when Connected to the Libre view app i can download all data which shows numbers every 15 min. Buy the secret is to scan at least every 8 hours. I scan as often as I can sometimes in my sleep now lol

my vet places them and they tend to stay if I put a onesie because if not he will pick at it. In the beginning they would not stay more than a few days 10 at the most . He got upset with the onesie last time he was very depressed with it so I took it off now fingers crossed it will stay. When the sensor is placed on the top part of his body I cut the onesie to cover that area only and leave the rest of his body free . He tolerates that better. Some people use kitty collar. I have not tried tape but not sure that will last the full 14 days. I keep experimenting to be honest and try to invent new ways to cover it so that it will last the full 14 days. My previous 2 lasted all that time thankfully. Let me see if I can upload some pics.

No onesie now but he is not bothered too much by the location of this one. as you can see the prior one was on top -left - still healing. the vet did not clean it up the correct way but I will do it myself next time with Unisolve. on the top right another prior libre area is healing nicely. both the ones i had on top last 14 days but had them covered with onesie (cut short for comfort). looking forward for libre 3 which was announced recently and knowing it is so much smaller. thank goodness.

Oh poor babe, that spot on his left shoulder looks sore. My vet was alternating between Dimi's shoulders and hips, similar to Henry's spots. Our patchwork kitties! I've never had one last the full 14 days. Our longest was 10, and the last two failed after 3-4 days. No idea why, as they didn't come loose, just stopped working. Maybe I'll try again. Agree the libre 3 looks more promising.
