I posted on main that some Libre 3 meters have been recalled. Likely yours.

Every time you get a bg under 90 you need to reduce at the next shot by .25. Congrats on the reduction.

Mine is a Libre 2 so I think we’re safe. We are going to try TR dosing so if I understand correctly we don't reduce until a bg of 50. Hopefully we will be able to get a new Libre tomorrow so I can see those “during the night” numbers. Using the meter today his numbers have looked pretty good

Oh good. With TR you reduce if under 50. Please change your signature to TR. With the greens today you hold the dose a total of 10 cycles. So give 2.5 another day and evaluate whether to increase.

@Staci & Ivy I can’t believe two in a row failed but I did have to switch pharmacies so I wonder if they were both from the same lot. It’s weird that Abbott is replacing them both but the one they are sending via US mail and one they are sending via FedEx ‍♀️

@tiffmaxee Signature has been changed. I am a little confused about the 10 cycle thing so I can count backwards from when he started the 2.5 to get my 10 cycles? The last two days when I have been checking with a meter looks so good compared to when I’m using the libras numbers so I wonder how I will make a decision rather increase or not?
 
Yes. Cycles with green nadirs you hold a minimum of 10 cycles. That starts with the first day at the dose. If you continue to see green you will hold longer. He is looking a lot better.
 
    • From the dosing sticky:

    • if your cat is new to numbers under 200, it is recommended to hold the dose for at least 8-10 cycles before increasing.
    • when your cat starts to see nadirs under 100, hold the dose for at least 10 cycles before increasing.

Were the failed Libres from the recall lots?
