Hello all. I have been living with my diabetic cat for quite a bit now and thanks to this message board and web site, I think we will make it thru it :D

Just wanted to share my other cat's picture today. She had emergency surgery on Thursday for a rectal prolapse. She is home now and doing better. We call her "the boss." She just lets me and my husband stay in her house. haha_smiley

    Have a wonderful day!! :D

Wow! What an awesome looking cat. I made my BF get up and look at her picture. What is an anal prolapse? I hope she's better soon.

    So cute :D

Traci, a rectal prolapse is when the inside of the rectum protrudes outside the body

Thanks all, yes she is a gorgeous little girl. She is something else though...spoiled rotten. Getting medicine down her takes two of us and two suits of armour!! I specifically asked the vet if she could chew out her stitches and he said no. Well, she has so I have to call him tomorrow. If this doesn't work, she will have to be cut open and have things sewn together inside. If you get the chance, go to my gallery (taterpatch9) and look at my other babies. They are gorgeous too :RAHCAT

Thanks to everyone for their well wishes for Sassy. She chewed out her stitches two days after her surgery. All is fine though. Vet said it was okay just to watch and make sure "all" stays inside and he thought that it would. Said they don't always stitch up a rectal prolapse. She is doing well; running the household again. My Callie Cat is doing great as well. Just got my testing kit and am getting ready to start testing her if I can figure the whole thing out. Very overwhelming!!!
