Yesterday http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=76693 was a red day (thanks to beans fur shot) followed by an evening slight from high pink down to who knows where.

Nice little surprise this morning with that 142. She had woken us up early with meowing, so I suspect Neko had gone a bit lower and was telling us she needed food. So of course, I couldn't feed her! I waffled about the dose, it was supposed to be 1/2 dose, but a bubble in the syringe told me to go to 4.0 instead. I figured she would be back in the hotel by nadir and CSU could monitor while she was there.
As usual, Neko was an angel at CSU and we are now DONE with SRT. I've promised her no more vetty for a while. Neko seems to be feeling pretty good, has had a snuggle on DH's lap and is now finishing off the last of late breakfast. Ron (DH) and I had a good long talk with both Dr. Timian and Dr. Griffin (radiation oncologist). We got a tour of the SRT machine and an in depth look at their images and planning system. To the software techies that was fascinating. Ron had his iPad there, and it has a sound recording app. I was busy writing notes, but hopefully the iPad captured more. Dr. Griffin said that Neko's tumor was actually petite, not that it makes any difference except for maybe the amount of tissue that will have to be dealt with when the tumor cells die off. I'm going to try to write up my visit if any one is interested in my notes.
We leave Fort Collins tomorrow, barring any issues with Neko today. We are currently booking hotels enroute home. The beans day at Fort Collins consisted of visiting a couple of breweries for a present for the pet sitter, a visit to Petco, just to see what it was like and pick up some pee pads for the way home, as well as check out what food they have. I haven't seen the Merck Before Grain at home.
From last night:
@Melanie - treatment is finally over!! Neko is getting better over time and at least she has been in the same hotel for several days now.
@Lu - Neko seems to go up at CSU then down after she gets home. I have yet to test again today but that blue this morning was quite the surprise. We are leaving tomorrow, Neko seems quite good now, just tired.
@Michelle - just as your requested, a nice normal uneventful day today. Yeah!
@Jane - I hope that some of what I say may help someone sometime, whether they have a acrocat or just want to travel with a cat.
