Yesterday was...... YELLOW DAY in MannieLand... and "let's see how many fuds cans I can get the bean to open today before I cave and actually eat one" day....      I hate it when he does that.... UTI's seem to bring this out in him, that and ever since his Giardia issues, where appy really was a problem, we get these days where it's "you seriously expect me to eat THAT?" I miss my kitty who used to eat anything anytime anywhere. Where'd he go?  Mannie is feeling somewhat better. Appy still is a bit of an issue. He isn't nauseous, just very picky about what he does eat. Meds are still going well, though we did have a few issues last night: I could see him thinking: "hmmmmm - there is a pill in here"...and pa-tooey! out is came. I hope he hasn't caught on to me.... I tried a different pill pocket today - that he ate. phew! well Monday is a new day, we will hope for a good one. Blues Mannie OK, Maybe some greens to! Lubs ya big guy. cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand - slowly getting better. :D :D :D He was up and about alot more yesterday - roaming the house. I secretly suspect that he was looking for the hidden nanners... Santa Claws hid them well. I think this weekend I will bring out a new one for him - just cuz he's been a good boy through alot of stuff this past month. Yesterday DGS and I had gone to the pool. It is a long session for Nicholas, one he really loves. When we got home he is so tired that he will automatically lay down for a nap. Mannie came back to check on him, laid next to him on the blanket, stayed for some time. It was really very cool to see: watching over his best buddy... This morning we had a great test, feed and shoot and clean plate club , purrs and lots of cuddles. Normalcy in MannieLand.

Have a great day everyone. I am back on DGS duty for the week. Today will be a travel day for Nicholas, hopefully we can find a nice outdoor spot, maybe a creek today if it is not too cold, or wet. Not too sure at this point if that will be doable or not. Permission slip Mannie? I will try and get to condos when I can, but probably not until late in the evening. There is just no time when he is here.. I will miss you guys - and your furkids. Think blue think green kitties!

Hey everybody! WOO HOO on yesterday! I LUBS the cheese factory and the ice cream place. Hey you wanna go back today and visit the fish market at Pike Place? I so fun there - they toss the fishies there and everything! What'd'ya think? We could ride the ferries after that too, You guys in?let me know - I am ready for anything!! ~~ Mannie

And completely OT: Here are some photos from DGS's and my adventures yesterday: swimming: a long solid morning of swimming. Another day where he was in that water for over two hours, and even then I had to drag him out, again. What a great time for him. It was another day of non-stop motion. He loves to jump in, once again it was over and over and over....  After that, and his much needed nap, we we were off to the local trail here at home. I've included the FaceBook links for anyone that wants to see all the photos, and the videos: Swimming and Meadwodale trail

Awesome picture of Mannie and Nicholas! I'm so happy that they have a great bond. I think he deserves a new nanner just for being such a good boy! :D :D :D I may just tip him with a nanner for a special delivery of his triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia!

Ok Mannie time to eat some fuds and be a good boy. I hope you feel better down there and have a good day running around the fish market with the kittehs.

Mannie - get me out of here! The bean is all like HAPPY with the numbers, and will let me out since I am a GOOD BOY! The fish market sounds GREAT! So deeeeelicious to chew on some heads and bones. I likes the TAILS to drag around and smear fish slime everywhere, then we can run and got SLIDING across the ROOM! Get me at the back window! ~Leo

    Hi Michelle & Mannie,

Mannie, that is a great pic of you and your buddy, Nicholas! You do a good job watching over him and giving your mamabean some time to relax during her busy day.
I love those Arabica beans from Ethiopia. Thanks for my :coffee: fix this morning!
Now, be sure to eat your fuds today. A guy's got to keep up his strength!

Michelle, I hope that Mannie continues to improve. He has a good AMPS today. I'm sure he's tired from the clavamox. That is a knocker-outer! Perhaps you will have better weather today for your adventure. Those Pacific Coastal storms look awful.

    Have a good one,

    Ella & Rusty

Hey Mannie, I love the Pike's Place Market, especially the fish stalls. Maybe they'll give us some fish to grill. See ya later,
    Rusty

What great pictures!!! :D Mannie does love that boy. Of course so do all of us too. :D Oh Mannie! Picky fuds guy. Tarragon does that with the clavamox. Hopefully the ABs do the trick quick and he can get back to his normal happy silly self. Have a great day with Nicholas!! (Do you ever get a nap in there with him?)

Yesterday was awesomeeeee. I've never been to that pike place but it sounds yummy. See ya soon! - Tarragon

Morning Michelle, the pic of Nicholas and mannie is priceless, a Hallmark moment! Mannie is very protective of his little pal. So sorry about mannie's appy as it's always a worry when they don't eat. I use the Greenies pill pockets, chicken flavor, just a teeny bit to wrap her pepcid in it. Sometimes she pops it back out and then I have to rewrap and try again! Have a great day with DGS and hope the rain lets up! We still not get very much here in SD. Sending appy vines for our Mannie.
Mannie mega thanks for the Triple Espresso and mocha coffee drink. No more Starbucks for me, only Mannie's coffee, Auntie Ann

Mannie, fish market it is today. I've been wanting to return there and try the haddock burgers. See ya soon, Mags

I was going to suggest offering some pepcid to Mr. Mannie to see if that may help settle the tummy. Maui can't take clavamox, she gets extremely ill from it.

Do you have any cerenia? As it's supposed to help stimulate appetite, might be worth a try?

    Hey Mannie,

Oh yeah, I have mommy bean trained really well. She brings my fuds to where I am and she lays out the table linens and even wipes my mouth when I'm done. I don't like when she does that, because I still know how to clean myself. But she complains because I get the bed all wet with my cleaning and soak myself. She makes a funny tsk, tsk noise when she catches me.

I don't get roses or any flowers because mommy bean says I'll just eat them and not smell them. So no flowers in the house.

I'll go to the fish market, but I don't like fishes. I used to like watching mommy's fish tank and she would hold me so I could stick my paws in and try to catch the fishes. I never did catch them, maybe that's why I don't like them anymore.

Mommy says thanks for the tea, she so loves your infusions whatever that is. She's wondering if you can make a special vanilla chai blend for tomorrow.

I'm going to have a quick nap first and then I'll be ready to go. I so love driving and going real fast! Especially when I can't see where I'm going! tee hee....

    Signed, Maui the Magnificent

Nice to see the blue start, but what's up w/ those next tests, Mannie. Time to head back down. Pike Place really needs some live entertainment from the BMG!

I think it's the clavamox too. Tess's appetite was always off and finally regular as clockwork the would throw up an hour after getting it. It got so bad I took her to the vet and he gave her a shot of cerenia and subq. That helped a lot. The more times she was on it the worse her reaction got.

Mannie! Hooray for the Market! I've got my leg winding technique down pat and Maui will be awsome! i bet she can make them drop lots of fishies! And dibs on the bow for the ferry ride! -- Tess

Go Mannie! You can do it! Almost there, and you too can join the sliders club today. I hope his appy is better tonight. You've got so many variables with all the meds too.

I LOVE the pic of Mannie keeping an eye on his best bud!

Wow....what a pmps today! Michelle, you must be walking on a cloud. :D
I looooooove the photo of Mannie watching over his little buddy. That is a postcard pic, for sure :D

I hear ya on the fussy eating. I just complained about it myself today. I actually got angry with him tonight.
Fresh can of FF Chicken, all nice and warm...and he turned up his nose. Actually, it was his tail, he turned up.
So I sprinkled it with chicken dust...yeah right....Garbage can for that one, or maybe Tux will eat it.

Does Elsa eat what Mannie refuses?

Have a nice relaxing night, Michelle.

Aw...sorry to hear that Mannie hasn't been feeling all that well. I hope the AB's help him to heal up soon and that he chooses to be a bit more adventurous with his fuds!

    Hugs to both of you:)

WOW - will you look a that! What a great way to start a cycle. I did feed Mannie a higher carb food than normal, something he loves, just to be sure I got amply food in him, in the event we have appy issues later.... Been the pattern: things become an issue after his +2. Darn clavamox!

Nicholas and I had a terrific day today. We went to Whidbey Island, Deception Pass. I love that place - there is something unique about Whidbey, and I did not disappoint today either. Plus... it was the only place I could find with sun!  The surf there was really up - crashing waves, that had him so enthralled. We explored alot, visited as many beach sections as we could,. soaked up the rays. It was a great day for Nicholas: the look of shapeliness on his face was wodnerful. :D As we got into the car he turned and waved saying "bye bye beach" it was so cute. I will post some photos in Mannie's Condo tomorrow.

Thanks you everyone - Liz, Tamara, Ella, Barb, Wendy, Carla, Monica, Ann, Hilary, Angela, Ann, Melissa, and Lisa for visiting Mannie today - so so appreciated!!! Please forgive me for not answering each f you individually as I normally would. Way tired, and I really want to try and visit some condos tonight. Mannie had a great day - started blue, had that normal food spike -a little higher than normal, but due to food I think, as I fed him a higher carb food - it was the only thing he would eat. It was great to get home arounf his +10 and find him at a 104. Awesome! And that PMPS! even better! wow - maybe the Clav is working, killing of those nasty bugs, and we can get back to the blues and greens again. Paws crossed. :D I am glad that everyone enjoyed Mannie's pic with nicholas - it i so cool when Mannie will come back and lay best to his buddy. Love it! :D :D
Lisa - Mannie likes you idea of a tip...
Ella, yes on the storms: lots of rains, winds... so normal for November, just one after another....
Melissa - thanks for the comment on the Clavamox and the picky eater - a relief to read that. I wasn't sure, hoped that was what this picky fuds thing is...
Ann - yupp on the pill pockets - salmon flavor is working now.
Hillary - good idea on the pepdicid, tat I have. Also have a appy stimulant (mirt - something -er-other...) and tried that yesterday - it takes a coupe of days to kick in - had it from the last time we went through this. THANK YOU for the suggestions.
Ann - Thx on the clav info. I am convinced that is the issue. no pukus tough - just a lack of interest, can after can until I find one he wants. I may all the vet if this gets worse.
Wendy - exactly with all the variables with the other meds... omg.
Barb - yes on tha pmps! and yes (YAY!!) elsa eats what he doesn't - what a relief!!!!!!!!

Leo - dude you gots it! heeheehee on the tails and the sliding! gross dude gross, but funs! Back window it is!
Rusty -me too! Maybe we should pack the grill! i will try too to get back to the lagoon.....
T - it is the best place - you will love it!!!
Maggie - good choice on the haddock! YUMMMMMMMMM!
Maui- of course you can drive! I will guide you. heehheehee - so funs! and no flowers??? yu eats them??? i eat grass... ok on the fishies. I lubs them, butt hey have this place next door that has turkeys and chickens, I LUBS your fish tank and that you could put your paws in.I is sorry you didn't catch any....
Tess - you is the best!!! heeheehee on your leg winding technique. I can't wait to see Maui in action! and.... but of course on the bow of the ferry - titanic!!!
