Sadly, I did. How I screwed this up, IDK. Trepidation & fear, LOL. Seriously, I usually have my husband help for the left side, though lately Leo was too sick to put up much a fight.. or bite, so I figured this morning was no big deal. I immediately sensed something different that he was ready to bite, and I hurried up. That's when the fail occurred.

Maybe. I hope! I'll test again later. I was feeling so good about his progress--really good. It's been a crazy 1/2 month with terribly high BGs

It’s very possible some insulin still got in, don’t beat yourself up, it happens. Leo will get back to business. Could you please put PFS in the dose column, although I see it in the comments, it’s just easier to spot when looking at the dose and the BG values. Leo gets a little pokie break, and you get to take a little cat nap, you deserve it

It happens! Did you try to give him his shot while he eats? Bella would fight me and keep moving and it was a nightmare until I started doing it while she eats. She acts as if she does not even realise what I am doing, then.

When he was well, yes, I would try that, but, nooooo. He'll turn around and let me know the left is off limits.
So I had DH help with the distraction. Then this recent problem and he was so weak, he let me shoot left! This morning he seemed ready to take me on. I rushed and obviously messed up. Smelled the ins and felt dampness on my hand after I felt the fur... and the nasty smell.

I just found out my niece's 7yo kitty is having neuromuscular issues with the kitty's hind legs. Not sugar kitty, but something else. I noticed your sig mentions bells uses 'Adequan and Gabapentin for back legs pain.' I only know thr vet gave her kitty steroids. UGH. Hope diabetes doesn't develop!

The Adequan really helped, the Gabapentin seems to help too, I should stop it but I am afraid she would get in pain again. I give her a very low dose. I hope your niece's cat will not get diabetes. Maybe the steroids will only be for a short time.

Considering the FS, can I shoot earlier than 12 hours?

Awww, sweet baby. So young, too. My niece's kitty is about the same age.

Crown on #3 just broke while eating sweet potato fries. Dentist is closed until Mon, but I'll call the emergency # tomorrow to see what can be done SOONER.

Good luck getting back on schedule!! Leo will recover. It was only 1 FS!!
