Thank you @Carole & Indigo and @carfurby (GA) . And @tiffmaxee You all are terrific! Lando seems to be doing pretty well overall, he just hates food now. He has done cuddling, playing and purring.
My hope is that his weight becomes stable soon ( now at 16.4 lbs)
All his weight is gaining on my body instead

He lost a pound over 6 months earlier, then this latest dive has been about a pound in a month.

No, i have been trying to get him to eat anything remotely on the diabetic/ckd approved list. I even tried to crumble some temptations on food and that lasted a few days. I really, truly have tried everything i can think of except feeding him “trash food”
He will willingly eat freeze dried chicken on his own a few times a day ( probably eats 10 pieces or more a day)

one last item : the only time he nibbles on a bit of food on his own is right when i wake up in the am (6am) or if i wake him from a nap in tge afternoon with a food bowl under his nose
