02/15/21 Buddy AMPS 220 +2 195 ACRO update!

I just spoke with my vet, (the one I have dealt with for years) He said they don't deal with MSU but would be willing to do the blood draw and I could send them in myself. He thinks Acro is a very under diagnosed condition. I told him about the different treatments that I knew of and what I was willing to try and He seems to be on board. I feel so much better.

He was a little upset when I told him how the Saturday staff (including the vet on duty) treated me over the phone laughing at me and telling me that it was only a human condition and not to worry about it. Hopefully he will have a chat with them.

I'm happy to hear your vet is on board with testing!
It's so infuriating when people are dismissive like the Saturday staff. I've experienced my fair share with that kind of behavior.

See this post, we've had a member order the acro/IAA tests herself recently, and Larry posted a way to do it through Idexx. Should be easy enough for the vet to do if you give them the Idexx order numbers. I had to give my vet similar information for another lab, to get Neko's tests done.
