03/06 Mowgli PMPS 400, +1 445, +2 424, +3 414, +4 384

Time for +2?

Out of curiosity, at what times does Mowgli get food? Just wondering if we need to consider the timing of that.

I updated with a +2.

Mowgli normally gets food at preshot, and then every two hours until +6. For today, though, I'm giving even smaller meals every hour as a reward for the extra tests.

Looks like you got a nice ~100 point drop at +4. Great! Are you planning to follow up further today? I've found that Oberon's BG sometimes drops a bit more after +4, which could be delayed R action because the antibodies are gumming things up, or could be the normal Lantus nadir after the R helps get things started. Not really sure, but either way I like to get a +6 check.

We'll see what Wendy says, but I would suggest repeating this dose a couple more times to see what happens. Remember not to do R in the same cycle as a Lantus dose increase, though.

Successful experiment this morning. Do you want to repeat it again tonight or do the L increase?

I think I'd like to redo the R experiment tonight to verify the effect.

I would have liked to get more data in the second half of the cycle but for various reasons I failed to get good blood draws and didn't want to push the issue with Mowgli.

Hi Wendy!

As you can see, Mowgli's gone up a bit since preshot. If he hasn't come down by +4, is it OK to try 0.5 R tomorrow morning? Maybe 0.5 units of R can bring him down more consistently?

Let's start a little R scale. 0.5 units if 400 and above, 0.25 units if 300-399. Note, you won't always get consistent drops with R, due to many reasons. You are layering it's action on top of the Lantus action and just looking at the cumulative results. Tomorrow morning or night he should get his L increase. You want to try to keep on doing those every 6 cycles while in these kinds of numbers.
