Good Morning :):cat:

Safe Surfing Kitty Cats

Healing Prayers to all the kitties that are not feeling their best :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Today is mine and Dolly's "Hero's 78th Birthday. I don't know how we would both have survived without all of his love, care, learning to test by himself, give shots (already did that) litter, laundry, prepares meals for all of us, cleans up, never ending care and chores. I know this is not about just a cat but without him Dolly would have had no one to care for her. Also our daughter that stayed with Rob when I was in the hospital, helped care for me when I got home, drives my husband to grocery shop, countless trips to find Dolly's food, not an easy task, out everywhere. Helped him with Dolly and countless other things like making a small Birthday Party. Dolly & I are so blessed to have both of them. :joyful::joyful::joyful:

And of course, last but not least, all of you for your prayers and support. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I don't know your back story, Adrienne, but I have seen in other post that you have had a tough time lately. So happy you have a great support system around you to help you and your Dolly Girl. My best wishes for your good health and for Dolly's and please thank your Rob for everyone on this site. Happy Birthday, Rob!

Hi Summer, thank you so much for your kind words. I showed this to my husband, it made him smile. We talked once before but I don’t remember if it was before or after my accident, I fell and broke my Femur from hip to knee. I was in the hospital for a week and Rob had to self learn testing Dolly and all of her care was on his shoulders.
I instantly remembered who you were by your beautiful name and sweet beautiful Susie. Thanks again. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I am so sorry. What a horrible accident. You are so fortunate to have a support system. We all do not have that and I sometimes wonder what will happen to my Susie if something happens to me. Anyway, thank you for your compliments and may God heal you and your Dolly Girl!

I know I am very fortunate. My husband I’ve been taking care of for the last several years. He has many health challenges and when I fell, I wasn’t found for an hour, I knew it was serious. I couldn’t move, all I could think about was I am the only driver, I take care of nearly all of Dolly’s needs, pay the bills and so many things. The pain was so bad and to think about how both my husband and Dolly would survive without me, I just let it go. I was powerless. My daughter stepped in, took a leave from her job. Yes Summer I know how fortunate I am. I hope and pray if , God forbid, something happened to you Susie would be taken care of. I have been told numerous times that Dolly needs to be in our wills and someone or someplace has to be listed for her care. You should think about it. If not a will although you are never too young to have one, some sort of document. Then research places that are no-kill shelter, foster organizations. Something to ease your mind. Sorry for talking so much. Thank you again and you and Susie enjoy and love each other. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I have found someone that would test and shoot Susie but that is a moot point. I would need to show them everything required ahead of time. This would depend on if I had the time to do this - but accidents happen. I live with my 89 year old Mom and she has offered to learn to test and shoot but she is not sharp and I would worry about that. I have my SSN money turned over to my brother should something happen to me. That is so he can afford to take care of my two dogs, my Susie and my parrot, Fergus. I do not worry about them being taken care of but my concern is that there will be someone to treat Susie with her diabetes. I am grateful for your comments, Adrienne. Just makes me more and more aware that I need to line someone up to take care of Susie if something should happen to me.

Happy Birthday to your DH. I'm glad he and your daughter can help out so much. Sending prayers.
Thanks as always Carla for stopping by. Thanks for the Birthday wishes for my husband. (You know I never looked up DH to see what it stands for ). I hope you and Furball are having a nice weekend. I hope Furball is being a good kitty, surfing safely, hope those reds stay far away. You know I don’t know if Furball is a boy or a girl, beautiful either way. :cat: Thanks again Carla, always so nice to get your posts. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Just want to let you know I know how you feel. Dolly has always been “my” cat. She is very skittish, has been the whole 7 years ago when we adopted her. Not a lap cat, our special times are me kissing her head and ears and rubbing her neck and ears for hours. She follows me everywhere. She is not easy, requires like most cats to do everything her way in her time. I don’t think she would survive without us. She is a social eater so we have to stay with her most of the time while she eats. It had to be so hard on her when I was in the hospital, haven’t been away from her for even a day in 5 years. Don’t know how they process things like that but such joy for us both the day I came home. :joyful:

Happiest of birthdays to your hubby :bighug: Looks like Dolly celebrated with a beautiful cycle. Hope your healing is going as well as it can :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Thanks Susanne, I will pass on your wishes. I see Jax had a day like Dolly did yesterday, good but higher than normal. I swear they are “copycats” :cat::cat: I am so pleased with Dolly’s numbers. My husband has the magic touch. I am able to test her on occasion, can’t pick her up. I just tested her and she wouldn’t take treats or dinner from my husband. I think she’s saying “my mom’s back, she needs to do those things”. :p:p. So glad Jax is doing so well. So happy to hear from you. :bighug::bighug::bighug: And Dolly sends hugs to Benji :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Happy birthday Rob! You are both so fortunate to have each other, and indeed, he does seem to have the magic touch with Dolly's FD because she's having a great day. Sending lots of healing light your way, Adrienne. :bighug:

Thanks Katherine. I know how fortunate I am. Both my husband and my daughter. She took a leave from her job to take care of both of us. I am learning to graciously accept help, something I’m not good at. I really don’t have a choice right now. I think this terrified both of them but especially my daughter. I am always so independent and I think she realized that I am not young anymore. Her parents are getting old/ older. Thanks for visiting and caring. Surf safely Ruby and both of you have a good night. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
